The tacos, and food in general, is expensive and rather flavorless, a shocker for Mexican food which is normally bursting with flavor for the price. The portions are also shockingly small, with some of the tacos being served up with a lot of pickled cabbage - a choice which totally destroyed any flavor the taco meat may have once had. I also noticed a resolute lack of onion and cilantro on the tacos, a taco staple, and one of the tacos, al pastor, didn't even come with a lime! The meats used didn't taste very fresh or cooked well - it was a bit dry and bland. There also wasn't anything that could be considered as Mexican salsas/toppings on the table.
The decor was nice, with a different take on Mexican design, however the music was rather disappointing. I didn't hear any Mexican music being played, which would have amplified the experience. About amplification, the music was absurdly loud, and staff kept turning it up. For goodness sakes, it was barely 11 pm when I couldn't hear my friends speaking anymore! I understand a DJ was there, but it was totally inappropriate to have the music so deafeningly overpowering.
The service was the highlight. This is a restaurant with some of the best service I've had in Colombia. Attentive, kind, and quick!
This seems to be a place with an identity crisis: instead of being a restaurant with drinks, it should be billed as a Mexican-Colombian bar with food as a side note. With that being said, I won't be recommending this place to anyone, considering the better Mexican food/drink options available, such as Antojitos...
Read moreGreat food bad service. This is a weird place. If you like Mexican spicy food (I do) then the food os great, but you will need to be patient, because service is slow. I tried this place twice, the first time I waited 10 minutes after they gave me the drink and food menu and then left. Also they put a chain in the main door that confuses you on whether they are closed or closing, neither one is accurate they just like having control over who enters or leaves (weird part since I had to almost leave by force the first time after get3no service). The second time I was tended and ordered the agua chiles shrimp (very delicious and spicy) and a battery of tacos that were great. It took at least 15 minutes between drinks ro order the next so slow. Bottom line: Great spicy food on a city (Bogota that does not understand what spice is) but slow and...
Read moreSurprisingly one of the worst services I had in a while for a lunch, we sat at the table the waitress said it would come back in 5 minutes, after 15 minutes we requested attention asked to take the order we were told to wait, we insisted to be attended and while asking about the options the waiter did not show interest in resolving the request for some non spicy options or vegan, they show no flexibility nor interest in our requests hence after this lack of service from them we chose to desist in having lunch at this restaurant. Uncommon experience. Their menu option is limited, service questionable and we did not and will not try them out...
