Went here for dinner in anticipation of the good reviews that have been given. Should have paid attention when no one on the surrounding tables ordered sushi. However, we did not see that until it was too late. Sadly, the sushi has a very bad taste, we suspected that the rice might be old as you can hardly see the grains (it is more like a paste), and that the other produce might not be fresh. The restaurant itself is very cute but do not go here for sushi. We left, anticipating a night of stomach issues. The other foods might be good but after the sushi we did not want to spend any more money on what might be. Recommend to stay clear of this restaurant. They mainly only have rolls as a sushi option, not sure why. The other dishes on the menu was referred to as pasta and spagetti, which is also not japanese. The service was also a bit slow but we don't normally...
Read moreCool little place in el chorro with two floors and a relaxing set up. I sat at a booth on bar stools by the window. Very nice staff. We ordered the seafood rice and sushi combination “primavera”. The rice was amazing, it’s as if the seafood came right from the ocean, no fishy taste, this means a lot living in Bogotá. The sushi was good but not mind blowing, I like the Colombian fusion adding mango and plantano to sushi but there are some sushi’s that need to be left alone. You are also expected to eat your sushi with teriyaki sauce, I had to order the wasabi and a bowl to mix the soy sauce in separately. Good...
Read moreDisappointing. The food has very little to do with Japanese food. I know because I've been in Japan quite a few times. It may look a bit like Japanese / Asian, but the taste is so different. Sweet sauces on the food (like in Colombian kitchen), big slices of fried sweet platano. The tempura isn't fried in tempura batter, there's a strong taste of local deepfried oil. And the service is often nowhere to be found, they're downstairs, while you...
