I know Bogota well and as restaurants go, this is one of the best you'll find for the price. I'm quite picky as my father is a chef and my mum is Mediterranean (you know what Italians are like - and with good reason!)
On a weekday, there is a vegan set menu and on the weekends, you get to choose between an organic traditional chicken dish and a vegan option. As it's a small restaurant with seating for approx 20 people (I think), it's an intimate and cozy venue. This also means the food is made in small batches and homemade. It's like eating mama's food.
I eat here every day for lunch taking advantage of the 10 lunch deal (15k/lunch). I enjoy the variety of dishes and that I get to eat meat only at weekends. They've nudged me towards veganism without me realising it, all-the-while happy with the food I'm eating. A potentially loving template for the planet: eat food, mostly veg, not too much (Michael Pollan). I've never asked but I believe a lot of produce is grown locally and organically as I see baskets of leaves and vegetables as I enter.
I buy my muesli from here and on occasion, quinoa empanadas. Both are delicious. Today I tried a turmeric kombucha taster which was deli too.
All-in-all, a must go-to restaurant. You're going to eat high-quality food at a fraction of the price of many other restaurants in Bogota. Unlike other restaurants, they don't charge a service fee either - or maybe that's because I buy the 10 lunch package. To be honest, I'd be happy to pay it if they asked for it.
One small thing to improve would be to make sure the soup is hot. They have a small kitchen so I think it's a bit of a balancing act for them. Doesn't happen often and you can always tell them as they're open to feedback. One more thing would be to update the opening times on Google - I went once expecting it to be open in the afternoon to get my empanada and it wasn't.
True to the name, quinoa and amaranto are used in several dishes - yum! (I noticed a review saying otherwise).

Read moreVery reasonable price for a set vegan menu ($18000), but the food is very hit or miss. Some of the other reviews mention more interesting food options but it sounds like we were unlucky.
We had a nice tasting vegetable soup (I believe with kale), a plate with lentil hamburgers, boiled potatoes with a chili sauce, and an avocado salad. The lentil hamburgers unfortunately really missed the mark- it barely held together, was dry and not sufficiently salted. The sauce on the potatoes was good, as was the salad.
For drinks we were offered a Yerba buena tea, which was good, as was the dessert, which appeared to be stewed lulo, which was excellent.
Overall, it was great to find a vegan restaurant with a fixed menu, but some of the offerings can be improved. The service was incredibly friendly and speedy, which was...
Read moreFrom beginning to end the best dining experience I have had.. ever. 2 travellers from Europe, 8 months into our South America adventure found this place for sunday lunch. The setting is a beautiful little cosy restaurant with two floors. The menu del dia consisted of aromatic green and mint tea, green soup (veggies) - absolutely delicious possibly the best soup ive ever had, mains of tabbouleh with mash and barbecued skewered veggies with deliciously spiced saitan and a pineapple dessert. Every bite was jam packed with fresh fragrant flavours seasoned to perfection! 18k cop per person. Unbelievable value for money! felt like a 5 star dining experience. To top it off the staff were so inviting it felt like home, and the owner has amazing people skills. Wish we found this...
