I hate to give an average score, but I don't think they were at their best Saturday night. The first waiter I approached refused to allow me to sit inside, trying to force me to eat on the patio, right next to where the food delivery guys stand around and smoke while waiting for their food orders to complete. It is quite disgusting. Luckily I walked in anyway and a young waiter who spoke some English helped me to sit inside.
The decor is more modern than rustic Italian, but there is a partially open kitchen with a medium size pizza oven.
I ordered the spaghetti bolognese. Presentation was nice but it was cool or almost cold and I couldn't find one hotspot in the dish. The cheese that was placed on top never melted.
No one checked back with me to see if I needed any help or if everything was okay. I just ate about half of it and ended up leaving.
I was excited because they had fresh pasta but to be honest, I'm not sure how fresh the pasta really was and because it wasn't hot. The bolognese was average at best nothing special. I'm not sure what was going on in the kitchen this night
I can't go against all the great reviews they had but for me, it's not where I want to try again. I however never want to take away from being wonderful service that was given to me by the waiter who finally took interest in allowing me to sit inside and eat at the restaurant.

My partner and I had shrimp scampi pizza bottle of wine and cheese raviolis. It was so good we had to go again for a second time two days later! This time my partner had shrimp scampi again because it was that good and I had the fettuccine Alfredo pasta and it was sooo good! The staff have all been very nice and cool people and I believe the owner is a woman who’s there usually and she is so nice. She came to thank us for coming and was just over all a nice person. I would definitely recommend this spot. So far everything we’ve tried we loved. We usually like to try different places but this place was that good and we will probably be back again before our departure....
Read moreService is fine. It is traditional italian, which means, coming from the U.S., means a lack of flavor. The only flavor could perceive about the bolognese is MEAT. Even the cheese that topped it added to dimension. I ate for substance, not taste. If you are a foodie you will understand how heartbreaking that is. The best part was the exceptional bread with butter and garlic (1-piece). A server who brought me the change gave me less what I was due after 10% tip paid. I let it slide but noticed it.
The owner, Swiss, told me " Lo siento, no entiendo" when I, a black person, spoke in English, and answered only in Spanish, then preceded to have a full conversation in English with white foreigners....
