Heladeria El Barco is a block away from Pops, another popular ice cream shop. Now I've been to Pops, and it's pretty good albeit a bit spendy. But El Barco is the OG! Their ice cream is to die for - rich in flavor, high in butterfat, and low overrun (IYKYK). Tonight I got the Copa 2 (cup with two scoops) with Nutella and Chocolate Oreo, and it was exceptional. Heladería El Barco was hands down the best of the three ice cream shops we tried during our visit to Jacó! The service was super friendly and welcoming, and they had lots of different options to choose from.
