Taco Joint — Restaurant in Jacó

Disgusting place. Terrible food and rude waitress. Instead of Pina Colada - 98% coarse ice. We've been waited 30 minutes and they brought us a "culinary masterpiece" which even a child can cook for 5 minutes. A small portion of burrito, salted fish is impossible to eat. My husband didn't even get a side dish after 30 minutes of waiting. We waited 15 minutes for drinks !!! During all this time, the waitress did not even try to come up to us. Plus, only cash is accepted! But the most striking thing is the prices! We paid 33 dollars, remained hungry as it was impossible to eat and ruined the mood for the day. Guys, this was the worst place in 3 weeks in Costa Rica. Trust that any other restaurant, even with a lower rating, will be better. And for the restaurant owners, I would like to draw attention to what is happening in their business and how they treat customers. It is a pity that such a service...

My friend and I are fruit for breakfast just to leave enough room to experience Taco Joint in all of its glory! Upon arriving, the owner told us that it opening would be delayed 40 mins due to a staff member being late. While this was inconvenient, he offered to comp us a round of beers. So, we waited. We each ordered shrimp and carnita tacos with all the fixings (see attached image for options). Tacos came as we neared the second beer, and they were quite flavorful, and heartier than expected. Taco Joint does not fail to impress! I've been coming here since I got to Jaco. I really love their burritos and they have quesadilla's that are rad. Their tacos though are some of the best in Jaco in my humble opinion of course. They have a checklist style menu and it has all the options to stack up as well as extras. It reminds me of a LA style street taco place and has a very unique vibe. I found them online from an add for their specials which are pretty amazing. I will post a few for reference.
