Sushi At Home — Restaurant in Jacó

Sushi At Home was the highlight of our visit to Jaco. Better than all of the overpriced street level restaurants, this second floor gem offers tables with stunning views and an opportunity to escape the noise and the frantic energy of the strip.

The table on the front patio overlooks a quiet lot, offers a view of the main street and a great breeze from off of the beach - even on the warm day of our visit. The back room actually offers the best tables and opens up to some great views. Over the course of our meal several birds passed us and many perched in the nearby trees.

We were impressed at the array of creative and flavourful offerings from the menu and genuinely appreciated the flexibility of the kitchen with ingredient substitutions, in order to provide us with tasty and fresh dishes. We LOVED our maki rolls and noodle dishes and were equally impressed at the warm hospitality and reasonable prices.

Flavors are great but most rolls lac seafood or fish. We were enjoying our rolls but than noticed the lobster and eel was lacking. When we opened our rolls there was the smallest pieces in each roll. Their non-rice roll had a good amount of fish in it. But the lobster and catapiller roll with eel had a sliver of seafood. The chef had nothing to say but that he would have to charge more if he used more. The size of seafood was the size of my pinky nail.

I went to enjoy some food with my family the food was very delicious and the drinks too, the service was good from the boys ,but the girl, very unrespectful and reckless, everytime she told me what to give to my babies, how to feed them and what to buy, she didn't care about what it order,her opinion was always more important, all the time I felt arrangement by her, the place is nice and the food was fantastic,but I felt mad and uncomfy with her comments and words, I don't need anybody tell me how to be a mother, I went to enjoy nice food no to take lessons...
