La Casa del Taco — Restaurant in La Fortuna

The tacos, chef, and owner were all amazing. Was looking to get my taco fix and this place delivered. Originally, we were only planning to get the birria and lomo de plancha tacos but somehow the chef was reading my mind and volunteered out of nowhere saying "the fish tacos are really good". I took him at his word on that and I have no regrets. The fish tacos were REALLY GOOD. Tacos are generously filled and packed with flavor. I could really taste smokiness of the lomo de plancha - so good. They also have a housemade hot sauce that was 🔥. I basically kept the squeeze bottle and used it on every bite. Owner was super friendly and very easy to talk to. You can tell he really loves what he does and takes pride in what he serves. I almost don't want to recommend this place out of pure selfishness because I don't want to have wait in long lines to eat here again but I can't, in good conscience, keep this from the people.

The Birria is a Costa Rican variety made with a bit of cinnamon. Sounds strange but is actually SO good with the salsa & consummé. Definitely one of the top places to eat...
