When travelling out the country I never get pizza since I've been disappointed too many times. I was staying at Nature House in Monteverde and it so happen that the inn keeper Roy also makes wood-fired pizza. He is an extremely personable guy who is assisted by his charming wife and daughter. You can smell his wood-fired oven from a block away. Each pizza is made to order by him with an overload of passion and love. The pizza itself is worth a trip when you are in Monteverde. The crust has geat texture and chew with just the right amount of char. Each bite had me coming back for more. He makes his own dough and uses quality ingredients to create the best pizza in not just Costs Rica but in Latin America. Phenomenal pizza and experience! We really value quality and passion in our meals and that’s exactly what Roy and Melinda have created in their pizzeria. It’s a family owned restaurant as well as bed and breakfast place that captures the elegance and beauty of Monteverde. Their ingredients are fresh and well balanced combination of wood fire baked dough, freshness of tomato sauce and richness of the cheeses. Hands down the best pizza in Costa Rica! My wife and I just wanted something simple to take back to our little rental after a few days on the go from one adventure to another, and this place came up on the list. We drove by twice almost missing it, but I saw the little restaurant attached to the house on the second pass and we came back around, and I am so glad we did!!!
