La Cueva del Marisco — Restaurant in Quepos

This is literally a hole in the wall and a hidden gem. All the ladies here are absolutely wonderful. The owner is the cook and she cooks all her dishes with love. I like to eat where the locals eat and by chance we happen to walk by this place. We didn't try everything but what we did was absolutely delicious. She offers basic dishes from sandwiches to hearty typical Costa Rican meals. For my Mamas coming with kiddos, the ham and cheese sandwich are very good and for breakfast they add eggs. For lunch I had the pinto (white rice mixed with black beans) and stewed chicken. We tried the fried fish and it was perfect. The grilled chicken was moist and we'll seasoned. I love soup and could have it every day even in the CR heat, and their beef soup was spot on! You can eat here and leave with a happy heart, full bellies and it won't hurt your wallet.
