Amazing food with wonderful service (4 stars because of a gas-station-level burger). Almost everything we had here was super amazing, but the beef burger was like average gas station level. We had: Starters: Fish Soup (fresh, perfectly seasoned), Mussels with white wine (very fresh), Octopus Salad (amazing, very fresh and lots of octopus, nicely seasoned with lots of herbs and spices), Agnolotti with Adriatic Shrimps (so tasty I almost peed my pants!). Main: John Dory Filet (super fresh, the fish was cooked with perfect temperature, still had natural sweetness and tenderness!), Slow Cooked Veel Shoulder with Gnocchi (veel was so tender and full of umami, gnocchi was also amazing. But 2/3 of the dish was gnocchi. What a shame), and Beef Burger (the burger was so mediocre it reminded me of gas station burgers. The bun was totally from the cheapest supermarket buns. The beef was not juicy at all, very dense. The whole burger was not seasoned. Just wrong on every level.) Grilled vegetables side was amazing! The green salad came with the veel shoulder was just some vegetables put together. Very disappointing.) We chose this Michelin restaurant over another seafood Michelin place because my partner really wanted a burger and this place has a beef burger on the menu. Everything else was so great and totally Michelin level, but only the burger… I’m still confused and don’t know how the kitchen controls the quality of the food that comes from their nice kitchen. We also should have returned it rather then shoveling a bad burger down our throat. If you don’t want to make a good burger, it’s better to just remove it from the menu please. Vibe: very cozy. A lot of heaters. Service: the guy who served us (looked like a manager) was supreme. Super sharp, nice and attentive. Price: super reasonable price for the quality. It could have been an amazing and perfect experience....
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Tuvolin twice during our stay in Dubrovnik, and I can confidently say it was one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home.
The menu is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish is crafted with fresh, local ingredients and presented beautifully. I had the opportunity to try several dishes, and each one was a delight. The beef tartar, the leek soup and the sea bass was particularly outstanding – the flavors were perfectly balanced, and it was cooked to perfection.
The service with Iva was impeccable on every visit. Eager to ensure that I had a memorable dining experience. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and even accommodated special requests with a smile.
The ambiance is both charming and elegant, making it the perfect place for a relaxed meal or a special occasion. Whether you're enjoying a leisurely lunch or a romantic dinner, the atmosphere adds to the overall dining experience.
I highly recommend Tavulin to anyone visiting Dubrovnik. It's clear that the team takes great pride in their work, and it truly shows in every aspect of the restaurant. I can't wait to return on my next visit to this...
Read moreBeautiful culinary experience in this Bistro located in the heart of the Dubrovnik Old Town. Nice atmosphere on the terrace and very nice, friendly and funny staff. The food was awesome, absolutely fresh fine dinning. Obviously that all this had its cost. Do not expect to have a cheap bill and if you're looking for this, it's not the place you should be. Over all, my vote is only for just 3 stars and not for maximum of 5 stars, because we found the advertising false and that had really tricked us. The "so-called" offer for the "John Dory" fish on the grill created the impression that we'll receive a full fish at how it was presented. We finished by receiving a filet, amazingly cooked, but not as we expected from the presentation. To the staff: if you're serving fish filet, you need to put it in the menù exactly like this. See other restaurant's menus... We didn't liked this very much especially because no one told us anything...Great plus for the cocktails, really well made. Recommendations: definitely a nice place for a fine dinning, rather expensive, but considering where it is located and how the dishes are cooked, nothing negative to say about. Please be aware of the advertising and the offers and ask for details in order to understand better what...
