Old Town Finest — Hotel in Dubrovnik

The apartment is clean and has enough space for our family of 4. The towels are changed every 3 days and there are enough clean towels in the apartment for our use for 3 days. So it’s not a problem. But the bin is small and it would be better if they can provide some bin liners in the apartment then it will be easier. Air conditioning is cool enough for the hot summer, the hot water tank provided enough hot water for our family of 4 to shower even though it states in the apartment that once the hot water tank was emptied it takes 30 minutes to reheat the water again. There is hairdryer in the bathroom, but shower gel or shampoo is NOT provided. Lots of birds noises in the morning starting at around 6am, and rooms are close to stairs so it may have noises when people going up and down. There is a cinema right outside our apartment windows, the cinema opens from 9pm to 11pm, there are noises every night from the movie. Audience seatings are just metres away from the windows. I am quite ok with the noise, it’s not really a big problem for me, so I have a comfortable stay, but noise toleration varies between...

Very basic apartment with 1 living area and 1 bedroom. The sofa bed was set up for the additional guest. The owners are nice. It was very difficult to find the place as there is no board on the door or anywhere else, whereas the next apartment hotel clearly has one. Took us a bit, but one of the owners came and helped us get in. The key pad does not work and neither does the doorbell.

The bigger issue is that there is an outdoor movie theatre right next door. When I say, it was loud..it was LOUD! The show runs until 11:30pm and it’s like your bed is inside the theatre. It was horrible, we could not settle down all 3 nights we were there. We had a kid with us and it was difficult..I cannot imagine people with younger kids or babies in that apartment. They were playing ‘Mission Impossible’ while we were there..so you can imagine the kind of noise we had to deal with.

The place is amazing, that is why I scored it pretty high. The details are not that good: water in the old town is over chlorided, you probably won't like to drink such water. If you buy water from a supermarket and make a tea, you probably need to perform some special cleaning to a kettle because it is chlorided as well. The main annoying detail that the address of this hotel is misleading because in fact there are multiple flats in the old town which form this hotel. Sadly, none of the personal was able to direct us at the reception, they kept giving us some phone numbers to speak to. Conclusion: old town is great, but the service here could...
