As a local, it’s always exciting to see places open that embrace the meaning behind commmunity. Tucked away on a quiet side street, this cozy spot welcomes you each morning with the irresistible scent of freshly baked cinnamon buns. The menu offers a delicious variety of desserts and sandwiches, all made with care and quality ingredients. One of my personal favorites is the fruit pops—crafted with real fruit and absolutely no artificial additives.

Sometimes you go into the place, just to go there again, and again, and again. Kojo is not only a great coffee place, it is rather a place where you feel like in a cozy home, where the cake smells like the best cake prepared by your grandma, and where you are always greeted with a smile! We tried different cakes: apple pie, chocolate cake, carrot cake, banana bread, cinnamon rolls, and every single piece of cake was simply amazing! Fresh, homemade and what is more, made with passion and love. This is something you cannot create just by preparing a good meal, this is something that comes from the heart. We visited the place at least 10 times staying in Jelsa for 10 days. It was a pleasure and great opportunity not only to drink great coffee, eat amazing cakes, but also to meet lovely people!...

We stopped by this coffee shop the first time 10 minutes before closing and asked if it was okay to order something. The owner (son) did not hesitate to let us order, even though it was so close to closing. We ended up getting two iced lattes and a homemade chocolate pear cake made by his lovely mother. Everything was made with love and was so good that we came back two days later. We had to get it once more before our ferry to Split! This time, there was carrot cake and it ended up being one of the best carrot cakes we have ever eaten.
