Troha — Restaurant in Grad Zadar

To start with saying that this place doesn't deserve to be below 4* and I don't know what was the issues in past but now they are definitely sorted.

I had a luck to be sitted to table by owner Ilir himself and what an gentleman I have to say. We first get table inside but when I said I am a smoker and that I would like to have table outside, instantly when other people left I was moved to table outside and that was nice gesture as he didn't had to do that.

For food we had chicken salad and risotto from seafood. Both dishes were very delicious and both me and wife like it. Even myself a person who don't like seafood, when my wife gave me to try I end up eating good few bites from her as I genuinely loved it. My chicken salad was very good with good portions of chicken in it.

Waiters all of them were always with smile and ready to assist with any demands, same like owner Ilir who was actively walking around restaurant and supervise everything.

We had really nice dinner and enjoyed our time there. If we are longer in Zadar we would definitely come back.

Visiting the restaurant was a big disappointment. The staff was extremely unfriendly and unapproachable. We hadn't even finished our meal when they started picking up the plates without asking. No one cared how our experience was or if we wanted anything else. They just brought the bill.

The food, however, was no better. The pizza was tasteless, the capriciosa only contained four pieces of ham. The pasta was completely overcooked and had no real taste, as if it had been prepared the day before. The burger was a real disaster - the meat was old and too dry, and the bread was completely stale. The whole experience was well below what you would expect for a restaurant...

Lovely restaurant, unfortunately the prices are quite high for quality of food. Menu lists hamburger options,ingredients specify 'pljeskavica' which is meat patty usually made of pork/beef mix. I asked if burgers were pure beef,server said, yes of course.I ordered the Dalmacia pizza instead,dough was fantastic, although far too salty to eat whole thing. Spouse had ordered the burger,and although it did taste fairly good, it was definitely NOT pure beef,the bun was also not freshest,just stock standard ingredients you could get at any burger joint,but the price of the food was on the higher end.
