Capodecina pasta bar — Restaurant in Larnaca

I called the place yesterday at 13.00 to reserve a table. A guy answered the phone. I asked if they accept reservations and once he confirmed, I booked a table for four, for the same night at 8.30. Once we arrived at the place there was no room to sit as there were only three tables outside which were full. The inside of the restaurant could not be used because there were no ac functioning at that moment. There was only one server who asked us politely if we are looking for a table for four. I said that I made a reservation. She went back inside and informed the chef (who I got the sense that he was running the place). She came back and told us that she was going to bring a table from the inside. After waiting for 5-10 minutes (at the time she was talking with the chef trying to manage the other guests) she came back and said that she was sorry and that they could not accept us as they were full. She also notified us that she could not bring an extra table outside without giving us any reason. Please note that the line was growing at the time with more guests arriving. I said that this is unacceptable as we had a reservation. She replied that they do not make reservations, and she asked me the name of the person that I talked to on the phone. Obviously the store cannot manage dine-in customers and mostly operates on a delivery service, while there is a general sense of panic once there is more than a handful of guests. The food was prepared by the kitchen helper /cleaner, Not a chef, Not a cook, who throughout the preparation did not put the mobile phone down from her ear, NOT a good picture for the establishment. As for your reply, Yes I didn’t finish my meal and asked for it to be but in a takeaway box, Not because it was Great but because it wasn’t edible, the next day I further enhanced it and made it edible, Something your kitchen helper should’ve done in the first place if she put the phone down and concentrated on the task given. PS: Now my review reflects the reality. PS: I actually came there with the hope of having a Great meal and prepared my self for just that and to also Give A 5 plus star. You continue to make it worse by commenting false information, Firstly you make it sound like you gave me the meals free, NOT TRUE, yes there was a technical issue with two of my cards which have since been resolved and you were fully paid by a 3rd card with no consequence to your store. Found this restaurant on Google maps whilst craving some pasta and I’m so glad I did. As a tourist, I’ve been used to seeing inflated prices throughout my trip so it was great to find a local restaurant with huge portions at affordable and fair prices. The staff were super friendly, the food is delicious and one portion was more than enough for my wife and I to share. You can tailor your own pasta dish and the chef will make this to your liking which is great for the more picky eaters. The restaurant is currently undergoing an extension in the background which I’m sure will be a huge success. I highly recommend this restaurant and it’s only about a six minute walk from the beach. I’ve ordered from here twice in the same day and as I’m writing this I’m considering going back for lunch tomorrow😂 Thank you for your friendly service and I wish you all the best going...
