Well congratulations! Going from very good restaurant to one of the worst experiences in less than a year? Wow. Previous years we went to Glykolemono few times. Always satisfied, great food, great drinks, great people. Sandwiches automatically with fries and salad. We decided to order via Foody today, having in mind the delicious food. It was quite an order, 32€. We ordered 2 sandwiches, halloumi and mastiha lemonades assuming at least fries for the price.. What a surprise when we received sandwiches with no fries, no salad.. weird. We then proceeded to eat the sandwiches just to experience the most overpriced tasteless piece of something that felt like eating cardboard.. the buns were store bought and I need to warn you - I have photos from last year and those were home made; the tomato sauce didn't taste like tomatoes, mayonnaise was never seen, an egg? Who's that? The piece of chicken was like an old week hard to chew weird thing.. But don't worry - according to the chef, it was all freshly made. Yeah. Freshly reheated. Like burgers in McDonald's. I turned to Foody customer service for help, because this was an awful experience and a waste of money. After some discussion I offered an agreement - returning the money for the overpriced sandwiches, because those were not edible.. the result - restaurant doesn't want to proceed any further 😂 And this - ladies and gentlemen - is how you're going to be treated here. Receiving some frozen semi-products, being charged ridiculously high prices and when you complain, you'll get laughed in...
Read moreWe recently visited Glykolemono, a cozy spot for Italian food, and overall, it was a lovely experience. Here’s my take:
🍅🫒Village Pizza: This had a nice mix of olives, tomatoes, and a flavorful pesto drizzle. The toppings were fresh and well-balanced, but the pizza dough itself wasn’t as fluffy as I usually like.
🍄🟫Truffle Pizza: The highlight of our meal! Rich, aromatic, and absolutely delicious. The truffle flavor was intense, but the addition of creamy burrata cheese balanced it perfectly, adding a luxurious touch. This was by far the best dish we tried and a must-have for anyone visiting.
🍝Chicken Linguine: A pleasant surprise. The chicken and green pesto made for a classic pairing, but the addition of pines brought a refreshing crunch that worked surprisingly well. The feta cheese also added just the right amount of saltiness, tying all the flavors together beautifully.
🧑🏻🍳The staff was friendly enough, adding to the warm atmosphere, and the festive decorations gave the place a wonderful Christmas touch, making the experience feel extra special.
💶Prices were very reasonable, so it’s great value for money. If they could improve the pizza dough texture, it would be even better.
✨Definitely worth a visit for the creative flavors, cozy vibes, and...
Read moreThe food was nice. Please don’t keep working an employee that CLEARLY doesn’t want to be there. He ruins the overall experience of the customers. The waiter was rude from the very first time. As soon as we seated he started pushing to order standing next to us and looking at us rushing us to order. We ordered to latte with coconut milk (we asked OAT but they didn’t have) which we didn’t like when we tried them. When we asked him to change them for 2 americano, he scolded us for having ordered the lattes. I asked him to close the door (the whole idea to be inside is not to freeze in the coldest day in Cyprus) once and he told me in a very rude manner that he was going to do it. He did it partially, so I stood up and went to close it. Every time he would go outside, he would leave the door open and I would stand to close it. Did this 3 times. At some point he found the door closed and he opened CURSING AT ME for having closed it, and left it totally opened on porpouse. You can see in the photo attached. Plus, the heater that was close to us ran out of gas, but of course, he wanted us to feel the cold so he didn’t bother to change the gas or bring another heater. Suggestion: If you want to try the food, order...
