We were a party of 6 adults and one toddler. We ordered 2 lamb chops, i ravioli, 2 afelia, one artichoke and I pork souvlakia. So far so good. . Sorry. No ravioli which was for the toddler so ordered a plate of chips which arrived quite quickly. The artichoke came. The afelia followed 25 mins later. The lamb chops didn't arrive. Artichoke finished so we asked where the rest of the food was? Oh. There has been a mistake. Yup . Approximately 45 minutes later we still have no lamb chops or souvlakia. Asked who was responsible for the mess up and asked for the manager. She was not very helpful so I asked what happened to our order. She said the lamb was sent to the wrong table. Ok. Si when can we expect the lamb chops and souvlakia? She said the staff were not good and she asked me what I did for a living. I told her I was a restaurant cook. She said didn't I ever make a mistake? I had to laugh as I worked in professional kitchens for years. I said if your kitchen staff can't work the kitchen you should fire them. She said fine me staff then.. .I had to laugh. Lamb chops arrived an hour after the artichoke dish and the souvlakia m7st have absconded cos they never turned up. The find that we did taste was very good. Rude manager. Good food. Take a chance but dont say you weren't warned. 10% was deducted from the bill. No...
Read moreWhat can we say about this place, we have been to Cyprus all our lives as we used to live here and also have Greek parents but we have never been to this restaurant until tonight. We have seen on Google that it was one of the top rated restaurants and we wanted to try somewhere new. We turned up about 8 pm without a reservation and they managed to squeeze it on the very last table they had. Now don’t be fooled by the fact that the restaurant itself is small with a few tables and they basically own the alleyway in between two precincts of shops that they have put their tables and chairs in between because this place was full and for good reason. We ordered the pork souvlakia x 3 with chips, rice, portion of chips, bulgur wheat, meatballs, tzatsiki, halloumi, three Coke zeros and a bottle of water and it was honestly the best restaurant we have ever eaten in Cyprus and it only came to €71 for all of that which is an absolute bargain and then they gave us this free traditional Cypriot custard type desert at the end, which was absolutely amazing. You have to come and visit this place because the food was top drawer and the wait time to be served the food was not long at all and the service were...
Read moreFood was okay overall. Nothing stood out to be honest. The fried celery was interesting but still lacking a dip. The fried cheese was nice but a bit cold. It was mediocre food but terrible service.
We were told that we will be seated for 5, we waited nearly an hour. Then when we got seated we had to wait for one manager to take our order. Imagine a restaurant of 15 tables and only one person taking the order. As expected our main was delayed and was served without its sides. After eating 3/4 of our main the sides came. Lamb Chops portion didn't meet the price paid (I have no pictures but other comments reflect the same).
My biggest issue here was the manager. I went to this restaurant in the day time for lunch and I didn't get served because "they were low on chefs" with barely 20% occupancy. In dinner, other locals took priority over us (hence the 65 minute wait. To be honest I just think they don't like tourists. It's not very tourist friendly and definitely NOT worth the wait.
There is one nice waiter that deserves to really run this restaurant. He applogised to us. Thank...
