Excuse the hyperbole, but simple amazing. Probably one of the top 5 very best lunches I have been lucky enough to have had whilst on work trip from something like over 20 countries (I’m including Michelin starred Din Tai Fung in this too). I had the delicious Cyprus coffee (which was almost like rich hot chocolate), Greek Salad with various home made bread and a halloumi pita with mint (yes, it was a fat day). Each was incredibly refined and the quality and freshness of ingredients exceptional. Special commendation for the pita though - it was almost deep fried and crispy with great balance between cheese and mint. I believe the owner is very experienced with a background in various artisans bakeries in the Isle of Man and UK (are they the same?!). The location is brilliant, right next to one of the main churches with a very cool interior and outdoor seating. Bargain prices for the quality of the food and friendly quick...
Read moreThe food was actually ok. We had omelette and bread. Just some standard things were missing, like for example butter. No salt or pepper on the table, we didn’t even get asked for. And the omelette was a bit watery. Portion was ok, average, or a bit smaller in some other places. But the main thing which bothered us: it he service. We’ve been sitting there for about 5-10 minutes with finished plates, and nobody asked us if we want something else or the bill, 4 people (2 behind the bar and 2 in front) were staying there. We went to the counter to pay the bill and felt pressured to leave tip. The staff showed us the card machine and asked “do you want to leave tip”, what puts a weird pressure and situation on the guest. Don’t get me wrong: if the service is good, I like to leave tip obviously. We left tip, but left also with a non good feeling. We felt pressured to leave tip for a...
Read moreWe came in because my friend wanted to try it. I have to say I had already read the bad reviews so I was warned it was not going to be the best, but did not expect it would be THIS BAD. We sat down, we ordered coffees (which came after 15min) and our food. We ordered 2 “mamas sandwiches” and 1 “gourmet sandwich”. We waited 60 MINUTES for our food, which would take 5min to make at home. The place is also extremely noisy - see video for noise reference. When we got our sandwiches, the bread was old, dry and crumbly and with just a few ingredients that half of the sandwich was empty. Honestly, for the same price you can go somewhere else where you can be served within a reasonable timeframe and eat well.
My opinion: go...
