Watar is a must visit if you love Syrian cuisine. Watar offers an exceptional dining experience with a meze selection that stands out for its large variety, rich flavors, aromatic spices, and comforting. Each dish was a sensory delight, bursting with the vibrant tastes of the Middle East. I was also impressed by the quantity of food that was served.

Among the highlights was the Sausage, which was seasoned to perfection. The Meat Platter was another star, featuring an array of tender, well-marinated meats that were cooked to perfection.

The Wings were equally impressive and juicy interior, enveloped in a flavorful marinade that had just the right amount of heat. The Spicy Potatoes were a fantastic side, crispy and coated with a blend of spices that added to the dish.

The Tabbouleh Salad provided a refreshing contrast to the richer dishes. It was fresh, and perfectly balanced.

It would be an omission not to mention the delicious spreads and the warm pittas that we were served in the beginning.

I also advise you not to skip dessert as they serve a knufe that is out of this world delicious and I could go back just for this! It was the best way to end the wonderful experience!

Excellent food and service! A warm friendly welcome awaits you at Watar Ziryab, with the stunning setting of a roof terrace overlooking the beautiful Saint Lazarus Church in Larnaca. From the moment we arrived as a family the staff were so welcoming and hospitable. Relaxed yet very attentive, it's a skill mastered by very few. Then when the food began to arrive, what can we say except it was served quickly and was Excellent!!! The BEST houmous we've ever eaten!!! Simply delicious (served with chick peas) and some home made lebanese pittas and salads. Some of the best Shish Watouk (chicken breast cubes souvlaki style with a Lebanese twist) Soft, mouth watering and full of flavour. Which come with a generous salad also and some fries. Fresh home Made falafel for sister were excellent. The chicken livers (Served with sliced onions and cooked beautifully in a cast iron skillet were incredible! So fresh, so tasty, perfect! The lakmajoun was also excellent, freshly made and drizzled with a little balsamic glaze which was a lovely touch, it gave the dish a new dynamic. Our girls had the pizza and absolutely loved it. This is by far the best restaurant I have visited in Larnaca. The food quality is very high and you will pay what you get - this is not a “touristy” place (even if it is in a nice and central area), and the food is authentic. The Mezze selection is great, there are staples as well as less known delicacies. We took delicious meat and chicken main dishes and, even if they filled me, I kinda wanted to try more food. The staff and service honour Levantine hospitality and cordiality: we had a really small issue with a menu order which really didn’t bother us but still, the manager came almost immediately to accommodate our needs and giving us a special treatment that was more than you’d ever ask in most restaurants, especially given the already high quality of food and service.
