We (me and my bf) went today for coffee and croissants. We got 2 butter croissants and 2 coffees. We went there yesterday and people had their laptops with them so we thought we might do so as well since we had some things to do. Long story short we sit we chat and then we open our laptops. As we are sitting it started getting really busy but nevermind its a caffe right? An hour goes by and i suppose it was the manager comes to our table bends over amd puts her face into our faces and goes “ hey kids you are gonna have to leave or you could go and sit somewhere else I’ve got people coming and you are sitting on a table for 4. You can go sit outside (it was raining)if you want but you have to leave you can’t sit all this time here with your laptops it’s weekend ” and turns to the customer next to her and goes ”they’ve been here all day it’s unacceptable” so as we are trying to get our stuff and leaves she proceeds to stand up like right in front of our table with the rest of the customers who wait to sit where we are sitting…We won’t step foot there again ofc but like try to be a bit professional you know just a tad. Disclaimer we were sitting there for 3 hours sharp from...

Makou Beach Bar is a great place to wind down in the evening and get some of the best gelato you'll ever taste. With so much competition on this road, Makou Beach Bar holds its ground well.

Though the service is quite fast, Makou Beach Bar often has a much deserved queue. This wouldn't be problem apart from the fact that Makou beach bar has NO logical queue system. For a moment, I almost felt like a character in wacky races as someone eyeballed a space and blatantly queue jumped causing others to follow suit. This did put dampen the vibe and experience but a simple velvet rope could fix that.

The seating here is fantastic, with tables and sofas inside and out its a great place to literally chill out and get some amazing deserts with views of the ocean.

The gelato itself is excellent and I highly recommend the dark vanilla (best vanilla I've ever had).

I'll be back to try the pancakes and waffles and although I never tried them, they looked truly scrumptious.

Great service, great deserts, fix your queue system and we're onto a...

Beautiful setting, shame about the service. This restaurant/cafe is self service but there are only a few hidden "self service" signs. We sat at a table outside for about ten minutes before actually seeing a sign whilst staff just walked past. Once inside there are three different counters, we were the only customers at the counters and not one member of staff smiled or said hello. At the food counter (pastries, salad, pizza etc) there is no menu and the prices aren't displayed. The staff aren't particularly friendly or helpful; in fact they're quite happy to just stand around and chat amongst themselves. I was buying food and drink and had to ask for a glass, a straw, cutlery and serviettes - standard items which I thought would be automatically provided for customers when ordering food. There were no condiments out and I really didn't want to ask for another item again. The food itself was nice but expect don't expect service with a smile and when they say "self service" they...

A really cool place to chillax sit back and enjoy the beach and the summer mornings! This shop actually has three businesses : Makou - beach bar Coffeeberry - coffee shop D vinci - Gelato bar Coffee Berry offers an amazing range of freshly brewed coffee, ( third wave coffee shop), with a wide option of aromas and beans. The Fredo espresso is a must try! The food for breakfast is really good ( spinach pie and cheese cinnamon sugar pie) Sandwishes are also good ( cheese and smoked ham sandwish with tomatos and lettuce) The gelato was so good! A little more expensive than other ice cream shops in the city, however it is of top quality! - low fat 5€ 3 scoops. N.B : eat it indoors as the wind , humidity and sun heat outside makes it melt REAL fast. In summary : we enjoyed every morning we spent at this place, would definetly recommend it for a brunch or breakfast or for a casual coffee or icecream!

Even though I think this place needs a renovation to make it cosier and comfier as well as to install a nice fire place for the winter, I believe the is one of the best places that you can visit for a coffee by the sea-view. Also alot of parking near by. Coffee is great as its selling the brand Coffee Berry, ice cream is also great! For the waffles I believe they should use better chocolate like nutella! Also I believe they could offer better pastries!
