Panos Steak House — Restaurant in Larnaca

Unfortunately our experience was not good here! This was supposed to be a celebration dinner and it was nothing like that at all. You can see the staff is working under stress. Service was disjointed, not everything came on time, portions were inconsistent etc.

The seafood soup, not much seafood to be seen. My T-bone steak (I ordered medium) half of it was perfect whilst the other side was completely blue! I had to wait for my actual chosen sauce cause they made the wrong one. Sent the steak back and a few seconds later I just got the same steak back with no accompaniments. Still completely raw! Sent is back again and then it just was not tasty anymore after reheating twice. The pepper sauce tasted like it had been mixed with some other sauce. The jacket potato was horrible. It was at least 3 days old and tasted like glue! I told the manager to taste it and he refused! That says enough! They replaced that with a fresh one which was good.

I complained and got back talk that since 1957 they have not had any complaints like this. See the older reviews from 3/4 years ago…That’s when I lost it. Mistakes can happen, offdays can happen but to argue with the customer after sending back a steak twice and giving us old food… not done in the hospitality industry, especially for these prices.The way they dealt with it, not done! When the bill came I ended up paying 3€ more than the price on the menu.

I would stay clear of this place if you want a proper steak. The rice and fries were good though. Very disappointing experience to what should have been...

I wish there was 10 star to give to this place, the staff, the food...My God, my sister and I have just had the most delicious meal, I could easily say-EVER! I myself am a meat lover, especially charcoal grilled (that's my ultimate favourite)and I do eat pork; now, pork can often be hard, too dry, too fatty- but not here! It was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT accompanied with this traditional Cypriot deliciousness, called "sheftalia"- a MUST TRY! The softests, perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked/roasted minced meat ball(if I can call it a "meatball" because it's something out of this world! 😁) Oh, and edamame with truffles- fantastic! French fries (which I NEVER EAT because they smell oily, stale oil or whatever, but NOT HERE ☝️😁 They were perfection! Fresh, crispy, amazing! And, Ms.Anna, graceful, wonderful lady who who served our table, and all rest of the staff, so modest but so GENUINELY WELCOMING, kind and wonderful! ❤️ Everything so relaxed but still so professional, joyful laughter of the staff, but top notch service- FANTASTIC! Oh, yes and that HEAVENLY DELIGHT of a dessert- carrot cake with vanilla ice-cream, THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD! Ill start with one cons - we had special needs in the celebration (people with health issues) so I tried to do a reservation online or an email to get back to me that its OK and can be handled, apparently in Larnakas restaurants they don't often check emails, in this one too. Now to pros - I went there day before and asked the manager all the questions i needed and reserved a spot for about 10~12 people, they were very helpful and understood all our needs, including some demands that i had regarding alcohol consumption. As we arrived as per request our table was ready to take us in without delays! We have some picky eaters, but luckily the foods on the menu fit everyone and no-one complained about the food! that was a blessing of its own. I can say for myself, that nearly half the group ordered their signature dish of steak, and boy oh boy its not a signature dish for nothing! one of the best stakes i had in a while! and i am a meat lover. As we were leaving we were offered free coffee or tea, but no-one wanted because we were full from the dishes. The owner was very friendly and helpful and assisted with all the needs, as I was about to pay for the meal, he said he will give me discount since im paying cash, instead I tipped him more for fitting all our needs.
