This is a place with a soul. The food is absolutely delicious, but it’s actually the less important thing about this place. I have a story to tell about this place, which might be a bit long, but it’s getting better and better if you make it to the end. A few weeks ago we were in Larnaca and had a great experience with this place, so yesterday, when we came back to Larnaca, this time with the whole family- kids and parents, it was clear to us that we’re going to have dinner at Alexander! Their menu has so many options! All kinds of meat, fishes, pizza, spaghetti, great salads, lots of interesting cocktails, simply everything. We enjoyed the diner, the kids decided to go to the water just before the sun goes down, and we stayed for a last beer. We also got an ice cream, on the house (!) when we weren’t expecting this at all. We left the place and went to the beach to find the kids. When i saw my son he asked me if i got his braces from the table. Omg😨. It was in some napkins, invisible… I went back there and asked if they saw it by any chance. But they didn’t, and they’ve already cleaned the table, and throw everything to the garbage.. Since these braces are so expensive, i asked if it’s ok if I search in the garbage. I thought they would say no, but surprisingly- They brought me a chair, in-front of the fan, pair of gloves, and the huge garbage bag to search in. So thoughtful of them! After 10 minutes of searching and finding nothing I gave up. (You can imagine how this search felt)… I thanked them for letting me try, and there was one waitress there, named Anthi, who took my number just in case they’ll find it later. I went back to the hotel, and about 20 minutes later, my daughter came in, with the braces! She said she was walking near Alexander, and the waitress saw her and gave it to her. I was very surprised, didn’t understand how come they suddenly found it, I thought maybe the waiter that cleaned the table saw it and put it aside. I came back, to say thank you, and found Anthi there. I asked her where did they find it eventually, and she said- “I just put the gloves and search the other garbage bag”. I was speechless. Amazed that she would do something like that for a total stranger. I wanted to give her cash for her efforts and help, but she said- “You don’t need to pay me. All good. You can write a nice review if you want”. Nathi- I will never forget this place thanks to your good heart. Nathi and all the staff in Alexander- You are...
Read moreFirst off, I wouldn’t recommend it but here is my full and honest feedback.
We decided to sit down here as the place looked full and nice from the outside, and prices for the region are reasonable.
The service was okay, staff is friendly. The location is nice as it is at the boulevard
We ordered chicken souvlaki pita, pork schnitzel, chicken skewer and a beef kebab pita
The food arrived in time (about 15-20 minutes) which is reasonable
But it arrived and the chicken skewer was almost cold and clearly overcooked (dry as a bone). The chicken in the souvlaki pita was basically just a chicken skewer as you could see the big chunks with the holes of the skewer in it. The beef was okay-isch but not the best cut. The pork schnitzel is clearly grilled at the same section as the fish as it had a little hint of fish in the after taste. The cook on the pork was fine though. Sauces are okay. The most positive is the portion sizes as they are generous.
The fries were okay and salads are good, as well as the pita. We were hungry and decided to not complain but accept the disappointing quality and rate the price/quality with 2 stars (not the worse, certainly not the best)
We paid only 47 euro for 4 persons dinner and some water and beer 0.0 But I rather pay more for better quality next time.
When you ask for the check you can get a complimentary ice cream, local liquor (probably ouzo), local lemonade or coffee. We took the ice creams strawberry and...

I was looking forward to this review like a little girl. Great restrauce, with great food and even more great staff and the most amazing atmosphere. We were on holiday this Christmas and right after we arrived, while waiting for our room, we had a little starter here - mussels. We love seafood so this was no problem. We looked up this restaurant from the reviews. Plus, we were staying at the Zodiac hotel, which is right next door. So a great restaurant right below us. I have to say they always greeted us with a smile, they were always very attentive, funny, friendly and the service was just perfect. The food? Divine. We sampled almost half the menu in the time we were there. Something different each time, seafood, plato, mussels, pizza, spaghetti, burgers, house wine - in short lots of it. By the time we went there more often, we were greeted warmly from afar. Really nice. We felt at home, like among friends. You can sit in the garden or inside. We mainly came for dinner, so I really liked table 62, right next to the fireplace. Beautiful romantic fireplace. We recommend trying the house wine, we had a rosé and a white and they were all excellent. We always had a choice of cherry komandaria, ouzo, ice cream, coffee or something else as a thank you to the establishment. We loved the cherry komandaria and the ice cream. If we go to Cyprus again, we definitely have to...
