My recent visit to To Sieradiko was an absolute disaster. From the moment I stepped in, it felt like a never-ending nightmare. I stood at the entrance waiting to be seated and was ignored, for more than 10 minutes while the restaurant staff casually passed me by as if I were invisible.
Finally, I seated myself, but the torment continued. I sat there for what seemed like an eternity, waiting for a menu that only came after I asked for it after 10 minutes of waiting. The waitress saw me several times but chose to look the other way.
Adding salt to the wound, despite the restaurant being only half full, they seated me in the back courtyard at a diminutive table. The waiter finally acknowledged my presence after an excruciating 10-minute wait, took my order, and returned another 10 minutes later to inform me that they had run out of the meal I originally wanted. I reluctantly changed my order and endured further waiting. To add to my dismay, I observed newcomers being served before me. Meanwhile, I was subjected to a relentless assault of mosquitoes in the outdoor seating area, who appeared to relish their dining experience more than I did. When my food finally arrived, the waiter offered no explanation or apology. The quality of the food was disappointingly average and certainly not commensurate with the price. I've had more satisfying experiences at ordinary Greek fast-food establishments than at this purportedly traditional restaurant.
To compound matters further, my experience was far from unique. A neighboring couple at a separate table shared the same grievances, expressing their frustration with the identical situation and abysmal service. Is this what you come to expect ? the only "typical" about this restaurant is the terrible service all across.
Any positive reviews this place has received are utterly undeserved. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this dining nightmare.
Any accolades they've received must surely belong to a parallel universe, for in this one, their service was a nightmarish spectacle that no cuisine could ever redeem. Spare yourself the agony nothing short of a...
Read moreHorrible and rude lady with shirt hair that is a server. I came early in the evening and asked if she had any room for 1 person. Nearly every table was empty. She told me no, look every table is booked. While I was standing there, a party of 4 was waiting behind me and had just walked up, no reservation. She sat them immediately with pleasure, and I was so stunned that the people asked to be sat after they heard her tell me it was full and that she sat them in front of me. After she sat them, I asked if they had a reservation and if not, why she was able to sit them without a reservation. I also didn’t have a reservation and was here before them. She did confirm they did not have a reservation and the excuse was since they were 4 and I was 1. Well, that’s not how good service works. She was very rude and knew it was not correct, she was hesitant to answer me. She absolutely could have accommodated me as the restaurant was nearly empty. I don’t care if I am 1, 2 or 3 people. If there was an open table, I should have been sat at it, not the people that came after me with the mindset of “make more money”. I am a digital nomad that has traveled the world full time for 5 years and eat alone nearly all of the time, this has never happened in any of the 60 countries I have been to because it is not normal, I was profiled. Maybe she thought someone in their 50/60's would tip better than someone who is 30, but I tip very well, and am in and out fast, quick money. I informed her how I felt about the situation and that I would be leaving a review, she quickly wanted to seat me, but I turned around and walked away because there was no conversation to be had at this point. Happy it happened because I wouldn’t want to support a place...
Read moreInitially we had planned to come here based on the fantastic word of mouth reviews we had heard; then, in our casual search to learn more about To Sieradiko, we came upon a one Alice Mint’s review (a master class in how to be a petty, miserable human), and we were decidedly set on going if not purely out of spite to Ms Mint. From the start, the service was exemplary. The timing between all interactions of the experience was appropriate to what one would expect of a non-fast food restaurant. Given that it seems Ms Alice Mint is clearly more suited to a service time under 10 minutes, she would have been better served at the myriad KFC locations in Larnaca. The staff were nothing short of lovely; helpful and friendly. If Ms Mint is as insufferable in person as she is in her online persona, I applaud the staff for giving her whatever attention they did. In short, the dining experience was nothing short of delightful. If people like Alice Mint spent as much time on finding ways to be a better person themselves (rather than belittle others) as To Sieradiko does on delivering a fantastic dining experience, we would all be better off. For To Sieradiko, I hope you continue to provide your passionate and authentic service. For people who feel the need to leave petty and ignorant reviews like Alice Mint, Sergei G, and Eithan, I hope you figure out what really makes you so unhappy in your lives and sort that out for yourselves without bringing honest...
