TLDR: Is it expensive? Yes. Does it taste good? Yes. Are the ingredients high quality? Yes, definitely! Is it worth it as a tourist that will come one time and probably not visit the place anymore? Yes, definitely!
To be honest, the price is not low but at the same time, I was not disappointed with the service nor the taste. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews, honestly, especially because it seems so many people are not realistic to assess the fact that the shop has a prime tourist location for which it probably has to pay rent, pay employees etc The sweets I bought were packed to the brim with pistachio without shell of course, and it seems that people don't know or don't remember that pistachio if you buy it in retail with shell, already has a pretty high price for 1kg, at least in Serbia where I come from. So given these facts, I was happy with what I got for 25eur even though it wasn't cheap. I was eating the sweets that I bought for that price for like a whole week, 25/7=3.5eur People are happy to buy something sweet for 3.5eur at a supermarket or a shop in a tourist place, so given all this I'm confused with so many...
Read moreIn a nutshell - kebabs big and tasty, but sadly that's all the good to say about the place.
In more details: Had to grab a quick bite, as were bit late for our next event. Service was polite, but the guy with quite a deep voice did not write down our order and managed to mix it up. Our kebabs were served very quickly (even mistake, as disappointing as it was, was fixed in a very timely manner) and were really tasty. Sadly our opinion of the place was ruined completely at the end. As our bill (according to the menu, where they have prices in Euros) should be €40 exactly, but they wanted from us just over €42.50. Reason being - the till operates in Turkish Lira and you have a converted summ in $ and € at the bottom of the check. Since prices are in Euros - no convertion should be done. After couple of minutes of us trying to convince them that we know our math according to their prices in the menu- "owner agreed" that €40 is what we'll pay. As for Turkish sweets - the negative comments about their selling strategy sadly...
Read moreAbsolute scammers! Avoid! The treats themselves are ok, but not special. Different rolls of mainly peanut butter and nuts with different colors of powder. Some good baklava. Extremely dishonest server. He tried to sell me much more than I wanted, overcharged (double what I was expecting), I have no idea if he even weighed it properly. He even charged me twice because "the machine accidentally charged in turkish lira first", even though he uses the same machine, mainly for euros, every day. I protested all of this, but I am not used to such dishonesty and pushiness. If I could have climbed over to the other side of the counter and shared my opinion more clearly I would have. Same owners as the other treat store nearby. Should be closed by the authorities, dishonest and creates such a...
