While the lahmecun was fine (good but not the best I've had), the atmosphere was cozy and the halloumi pide was very tasty, this place's business plan appears to be ripping people off, which leaves a bad taste in the mouth. The menu we were given had no prices listed (red flag) but the woman seemed friendly and we assumed it could not cost that much, so we just ordered. Instead of the "special" lahmecun I ordered, which was supposed to come with aubergine (and I only ordered one), I received four pieces of what appeared to be just regular lahmecun, and then was charged 12 EUR for it, when it seems others visiting this place recently paid about 2 EUR for a lahmecun (a far more normal price, although I saw lahmecun for 1.30 elsewhere). My husband had a halloumi pide and we had a small bottle of water. Total for this simple lunch was nearly 30 EUR. I was shocked by the price, considering that our dinner the night before had cost 24 EUR per person and included six types of meze, four types of grilled meats, two types of pasta, dessert, bread, etc., etc., you get the idea. It should have been less than 10 EUR total. Since we'd already eaten, it was too late to argue, so we just paid and left. I still gave them the benefit of the doubt at the time, thinking that perhaps there had been some misunderstanding due to a language barrier, but when I saw all the reviews by other people who have also been cheated, I realized this is just the way they operate. How disappointing, and especially how disappointing for our only meal in Northern Cyprus to be based on bad faith...
Read moreOne of the most authentic and best lahmacun I have eaten. The lahmacun is crispy, has an incredible taste to it, the parsley is fresh and the lemons are juicy. The price is quite fair if not even a little bit too low in my opinion. This skill and quality deserves some real recognition. They also have free WiFi and extremely comfortable and old fashioned couches to sit on. Additionally, the view in the main street at night is romantic. Also there is a slight breeze of wind which is extra refreshing with cold drinks. I would recommend this place to everyone. Really authentic lahmacun...
Read moreWe were very happy to eat there. This is a family restaurant totally different from all the fast foods. The owner prepared the lahmacun and pida with egg and halloumi on his own. That was very tasty. My wife that does not eat eggs liked her pida so much. You can pay with card. The price is also very good. Definitely place to visit and eat when you're on this side...
