The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice but the service needs a lot of improvement. They brought the main courses and they did not bring us cutlery (the cutlery was previously removed with the starters). We had to ask three times , three different waitors so they can bring us the cutlery. The food is very expensive, we paid €80 per person with a bottle of mid range priced wine. Their wine lists is very expensive compared to other restaurants, even for local bottles of wines . We got two starters one being the quinoa salad which was very boring ( a bit too cold for my liking including the cheese which was not room temperature), and a shrimp dish which was very basic. I had the rib eye steak which ok but all the side dishes and sauces have to be ordered as an extra side dish. I had the potatoe puree with truffle oil which lacked salt. My husband had the black cod which was a tiny piece of fish nothing like a good quality black cod both in taste and appearance. We tried the millefuille for dessert which was average . It was supposed to be the most popular dessert. Another awful thing is the water , they do not offer a choice of local mineral water. You have a choice of an awful processed water served in a tetra pack carton at the price of 4 euros or evian at 4.5 . Their argument is that they use this reversed osmosis imported water for enviromental reasons. I believe to be served the water in tetra pak carton in this kind of high end restaurant does not feel right.I think the Columbia steak house in Limassol (which is the same price range) and belongs to the same group is much better restaurant in quality and service. The same applies to the Columbia beach in Limassol the food is much nicer. They have to bear in mind that in Nicosia the prices of restaurants are much lower than Limassol because it is a different clientele with more local people. This restaurant has a lot of hype at the moment because it is something new in town with nice ambaince but if they do not respect their customers in terms of quality of food and service, they will eventually loose .We...
Read moreWhere to start with Henry’s? It’s our go-to high-end restaurant for dates, birthdays, or days where you feel you want something more. Every single dish is executed to absolute perfection. Whether it’s sushi, pasta, steak, fish, burgers or salads; you cannot go wrong here. The finest ingredients meet masterful cooking.
Their brunch is also remarkable with plenty of choices.
We have attended several events like the Panos Ioannides night or live saxophone nights. Both were highlights enough that we still talk about them. Henry’s tends to often have events like these which keep things interesting and are reasons enough to go back.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and most important of all: attentive. You won’t have to awkwardly raise your hand only to scratch your head to smoothly hide your gesture because the staff is aloof or not alert. Never. And that is something that is subtle but greatly appreciated.
The atmosphere is probably our favourite aspect of this restaurant. The decor is impeccable. Elegant and—at times—extravagant, but warm and welcoming. The music must be hand selected because it blends nicely in the background only to be noticed at times when a beautiful melody is discerned by your ears. Never loud and always perfect for the occasion.
All in all, do yourself a favour and treat your special someone to a dinner at Henry’s. You...
Read moreWe recently visited Henry’s on Makariou and had a mixed but overall pleasant experience. The standout feature of our visit was undoubtedly the excellent service—friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. The staff made us feel very welcome, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was stylish, relaxed, and inviting.
We started with the bread and butter they serve at the beginning, which was absolutely delicious—a simple touch done really well. As for the rest of the food, it was decent but not particularly memorable. The ravioli with burrata was okay, though it lacked a distinctive flavor. The meatballs with potato purée from the lunch menu were the highlight—comforting, flavorful, and well-balanced. The orzotto with beef was again tasty, but nothing that stood out.
We did appreciate how quickly the food arrived, making it a convenient option for a timely lunch or casual dinner. However, we found the overall experience to be way overpriced for the quality of the food. While the atmosphere and service are excellent, the dishes simply don’t justify the high prices.
In summary, Henry’s is worth considering for the ambiance and outstanding service, but if you’re going for the food alone, you might leave feeling underwhelmed—especially...
