Our experience at Pralina last night was nothing short of appalling. I had a guest visiting from England and wanted to introduce her to what I believed was one of Cyprus’ most exclusive fine dining establishments. To my great disappointment, it turned out to be anything but.
Shortly after we were seated and ordered drinks, a full tray of cocktails was accidentally dropped directly onto my guest’s dress by the waitress. Rather than handle the situation with any professionalism or urgency, the staff continued to make it worse—repeatedly wiping the alcohol across the table and splashing more onto her already ruined outfit.
The management’s response was pathetic at best. There was no meaningful apology, no attempt to offer dry cleaning services, a refund, or any genuine form of compensation. The owner and management barely acknowledged the severity of the situation. Their idea of “making it right” was offering a free dessert, which frankly felt like a slap in the face given the circumstances.
For a restaurant that positions itself as fine dining, the lack of accountability, customer care, and basic hospitality is shocking. I’ve experienced better service in casual cafés. The dress was stained, the evening was ruined, and the embarrassment we felt was overwhelming. There was absolutely no discretion, no care, and no class in how the situation was handled.
Pralina should be ashamed of the way they treat their guests, particularly those who come with high expectations and international company. I will never return, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before considering this establishment as a representation of Cyprus’ fine...
Read morePralina Experience offers an inviting ambiance and an innovative menu, but our recent visit was a bit of a mixed bag. We started with the Halloumi Bites with Tomato Jam and they were an absolute delight. The halloumi wrapped in a crispy fillo pastry was perfectly fried and the saltiness of the hallumi paired beautifully with the sweet and tangy tomato jam. It was a dish that set high expectations for the rest of the meal.
Unfortunately, the two mains we ordered didn't quite live up to those expectations. The Orzo with Beef Cheeks had some positives—the beef cheeks were tender and packed with flavor. However, the orzo itself was a letdown. It lacked seasoning, and to make matters worse, it was served slightly cold, which detracted from the overall experience.
The Mushroom Risotto with Beef also fell short. The risotto was underwhelming, missing the depth of flavor you'd expect from a well-made dish. The biggest disappointment, though, was the beef. It was dry and tough, making it difficult to enjoy. The dish had potential but ultimately missed the mark.
Overall, while the halloumi bites were a highlight, the mains didn’t quite measure up, leaving us with a mixed impression. The restaurant is also very expensive and that is a big push over, as it didn’t fully deliver on its promise of a top-tier dining experience and i don’t think I...
Read moreI visited this restaurant once for dinner and I must say, it’s a truly exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere is elegant and well-maintained, creating a very welcoming environment. The staff is not only polite but also incredibly attentive and helpful, making sure every need is met with a smile.
As for the food, the flavors were absolutely delightful. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu offers a variety of options, and everything we tried was a treat for the taste buds.
We ordered: Green Salad Beetroot & Eel Orzo Black Angus Beef Fillet 250gr
If you happen to be in the center of Nicosia, I highly recommend this restaurant. Whether you're looking for a special night out or a casual dinner, it promises a memorable experience.
