This is one of those places that pop up on Instagram and look inviting with brunch menus and vegan style dishes. Alas, it would have been nice to be able to reserve a table instead of just standing on the side of the road staring at people while they eat and wishing they get up and leave for you to sit. Called in advance and they informed us that they don't take reservations but that it was quiet and we'll find a table. We went there with our baby in the stroller and the "manager" told us that we have to wait 20mins to seat. As it was cold out and you were practically standing next to a busy road we asked him if it was possible to go for a stroll around the corner where it was sunny so the baby wouldn't get a cold and he was very helpful saying that we can return and be the first to get a table even though he couldn't actually reserve one if someone came before us. We returned 25min later and there were more people sitting on the pavement and in between their decorative plants. The "manager" didn't even give us a look and he gave an empty table to a group of regulars. Then a second table cleared and again, he gave the table to some friends.. The charade continued with a 3rd and 4rth table and after a total of 20mins standing there like an idiot we decided to leave. Not returning back, highly not recommended and if they continue to favour their regulars, they will be the...
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised to see how much this cafe is always overcrowded. We have waited around 10 minutes to be seated which was totally fine (considering how much overcrowded I expected more but the management was really good). Everyone was enjoying their brunch time as they should. Everything was impeccable and the food and drinks weren’t expensive at all. I must say I would go back for drinks, the coffee, the smoothies were good but the food was not. We ordered a power bowl which was not tasty at all, the spinach were dry and very citrusy, the cottage cheese didn’t complement the dish, the eggs were not oozing (it is a beautiful dish to look at but just that). And my problem wasn’t with the power-bowl but the pancakes: the pancakes were simply not chewable, like they have been sitting in the fridge for days and someone preheated them a bit, they lacked moisture, texture and the chocolate wasn’t redeeming the flavors because it was really hard to bite them, I got tired from chewing my first bite. The smoked salmon bagel was good and the quality of the salmon was nice. Needless to say, I was underwhelmed by the food a bit but would definitely go again for a good coffee...
Read moreI'm still raving about my incredible experience at Cafe Nom in Nicosia! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a modern twist that made it feel both trendy and relaxed.
But the real stars of the show were the food and drinks. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and oh my goodness, it was absolute perfection! The poached eggs were cooked to a flawless doneness, and the hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy without being overpowering. And let's not forget the coffee - it was expertly brewed and presented with a delightful design on the foam.
What truly impressed me, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, happy to answer all my questions about the menu and make recommendations. They even checked in on me multiple times to ensure everything was to my liking.
Overall, I'm so glad I stumbled upon Cafe Nom during my visit to Nicosia. It's a true gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. Five stars isn't enough - I'd give it ten...
