This is a relatively new addition to the bar scene in Nicosia, Cyprus. I had seen their Instagram profile when they were getting ready for their opening and had been wanting ever since to give this place a try. Needless to say, you need to reserve a table about a week in advance, especially for the weekend slots. You’re allowed to keep your table for about 2.5hrs. We were lucky enough to find free parking right outside the bar, but our reservation was early (7pm). The interior design of the place is brilliant. The service was great and the food was very tasty! Especially the chicken thigh skewers and the mushroom skewers. The edamame beans were a little too greasy for my girl’s liking, but I found them to be really good. We didn’t try the ‘Sando’ plate but that is something for me to look forward to for next time. In response to your response, you did not try to accommodate us. You gave us no option. 15mins after we brought it up, we then suggested we move to a table further in, which you said wasn’t possible. Your clients at the window can also sit there with the window closed, so I don’t know how that is relevant. Yes, hospitality is a two way street, but just smiling to a customer and saying sorry there is nothing we can do, when the solution is so glaringly obvious, isn’t really hospitable. Your establishment is clearly not very inclusive, as you are forced to inhale smokers cigarette fumes...

I think the food at Ukiyo Listening Bar was a holiday highlight for sure!
🍸 The mango soda was fruity and refreshing!
🥪 The sandos were incredible. We tried all 3. My favourite was the Ebi Sando with prawn.
🥗 The mini-salad was scrumptious and I loved the sesame seeds in it!
🍡The Yakitori Thigh with corriander pesto was incredibly good, you have to try this!
🍗 The Chiken Karaage was amazing and so crispy!
If you're in Nicosia you MUST visit Ukiyo Listening bar, the music is great and they have a really impressive sound system to listen to tunes too! 🎵
One note, if you make a reservation for 18:00, the kitchen opens at 19:00, so just bear that in mind if you have to be somewhere...
