Dracumel Grill & Pizza — Restaurant in Paphos Municipality

I've been coming to Cyprus since 1977, and as much as I have to say, I generally prefer a shish kebab, this is without doubt the best doner kebab you will find. I used to use Zembylas, just down the road. Looks a bit more rustic and traditional, but the staff are lousy and don't seem to care.

It's on bar street, but don't let that fool you. The staff are super friendly, the choices are amazing and value for money..... Don't get me started!! I like my food, but I can never finish one, and only €7!! They generally come with chips inside (gyro style), but I get mine without (get a bit more meat😁). Also there's so much more than just kebabs on offer, trust me, try it out, you will not be disappointed. They use Paphos pitta, which is the best I've ever had! Not keen on too much bread? Ask for it in a savoury crepe......

Excellent quality food, huuuge portions, more than fairly priced! Two of us ate dinner here, and came back for lunch the next day; we ordered one gyros portion to share - now take into consideration that I am a small girl who still likes to eat, and my boyfriend is an active sportsman who doesn't shy from big portions at all - and that one portion is absolutely big enough for both of us. The meat is top notch, as well as the veggies, the fries, the pita bread... Everything. The shade in the day is very pleasant, the fans are working, so sitting outside in the sveltering Cyprus heat is no problem at all. Special thanks to Peter, the employee who spoke to us and was our server both times - lovely, lovely guy! So bravo Dracumel, we'll come back...

After paying €18 for a pizza the owner was then RACIST and workers weren’t surprised when he treated us like scum (their faces said it all), just for asking to take pictures with the parrots he then proceeded to ignore and offer white people the chance to take pictures. Refused to acknowledge us waiting to take pictures but was happy enough to take our money.

The workers are nice and the food was actually quite good, just a shame that this experience was not nice at all. For that reason I won’t be giving them my money again. So my fellow black people be aware when dealing...
