We had chosen Minas tavern because of high ratings. The restaurant is lo aged a bit a side from most other on seaside. All the tables were located outside under the tree which gave a shadow. The menu is shirt with local dishes, some starters and meat dishes in a grill, there are some fresh fish in a fridge inside but it doesn't look so fresh. So I advice to be on a safe side and take a meat. We ordered "meze", 20 euros per person. We got some starters including olives, tzaziki, Greek salad with 2 tiny pieces of feta ( such a shame), tahini, 2 pieces of halumi. For a main dish we got kebab (delicious), local sausage ( tasty to me, but my mom didn't like, for sausage lovers), pork. And only in 15 min when we ate every thing anw were full, got also lamb ribs (ok, not the best one), chicken (good) and chips! No drinks and desert included. The service is slow but pleasant. The amount and quality of food worth it's cost. The kebab are the best, the other one are OK.

Found this wonderful place whilst looking for a traditional family restaurant close to Paphos harbour that wasn’t commercialised like the ones on the front. Lovely tables set across the road and we’re attended to by the owner. Drinks were brought and we both decided on swordfish (grilled) Well when it came I have never had swordfish like it. I have had it many many times but never like this. It was melt in the mouth, absolutely delicious. Salad so fresh and full and juicy. The chips so sweet and delicious (I never usually eat the chips) Homemade pitta. The owners son also really lovely. Overall the food, service and location were perfect. Will be back to try to fish meze next!

I tried many Cypriot tavernas in Paphos, Minas Tavern has the best qualify Sheftalia and souvlaki in town! The last two pics are the sheftalia I had in Hondros and the bill, it costs 9.75 euro, without lemon, picked peppers, feta cheese and little Greek salad. Here at Minas the sheftalia combo ( see picture 1-4) costs 9 euro only which includes pita bread, good portion of Greek village salad, fresh fried potato chips, feta cheese and of course my favorite sheftalia!! Today I tried calamari combo, the taste was soo good ! Minas also offered me complimentary fresh prune and Cypriot coffee 😍😋

This is a good taverna, very authentic and very close to the Paphos harbour. It's not the greatest looking restaurant that I've seen and perhaps could do with a lick of paint; but would that take away the authentic look? I don't know. The food however, which is probably why you would go there, is excellent. I had the chicken kebab main course and it was excellent, plenty of it and a large Greek salad on the side. One thing they could definitely improve is there menu; perhaps a wider choice and new menus that are not curling at the edges would be grand. Well worth a visit.

Definitely the best restaurant we tried in Cyprus! Too bad we discovered it on our last day. But we would definitely come back here if there’s a chance. The food is amazing. Good portion size and tastes really great. The pork and chicken kebab did not disappoint. The halloumi and tzatziki were also nice. The service is five-star. The staff are very attentive, nice, and friendly. The atmosphere adds to the charm of this lovely restaurant. It’s a must try when you visit Cyprus and is around Paphos.

Raw sausages served to my children we did not realise until over half of it eaten. Staff seemed unbothered and very reluctantly offered to not charge for this meal then charged for it anyway plus more (just added a few euros) on top. Trichinosis/ salmonella/ listeria etc. are my biggest concerns I did not return when I learned how much the Mrs had paid as very wound up about the raw food and would have flipped my lid. Buy a probe and use it you incompetent dangerous cook.
