Charged us 30CZK for 3 empty plates!! Impolite waitress. Though the fried mushroom was good taste, we will never come again. When stepped into the restaurant, the waitress put her hand on my mother's back and kind of push her to the table with an impolite tone. When having the bill, we found there are 30CZK charged, and we politely asked the waiter what was the charge for, he said it was the 3 empty plates for sharing the food. We asked him if it was a traditional charge of Czech restaurant as we have never been charged for empty plates/sharing spoons/forks/etc in other countries and we were curious why he didn't inform us the charge when giving us the 3 empty plates. He murmured a few words in impolite tone and walked away. We paid for it anyway and with tips.

Is it that other customer will be charged for empty plates too? And won't be informed the charge when it is not a general standard? I confirmed in later days when dining in other Czech restaurants, nothing would be charged for empty plates for sharing food.

Not sure the motive of the waiter, but if it really need to charge, it should inform the customer beforehand. Is it about dishonesty? Last but not least, 30CZK for 3 empty plates are not worth and not reasonable!
