After a long time I am gonna write so negative review. Perhaps my most negative of all time. But I just can't find anything what was OK, apart of the restaurant design itself, which is nice and feels inviting.
Starters (way too much without any creativity, but kind of good taste anyway) - cheese on the pan? Yes, really cheese on the pan. As any children would do to the letter. Literally very salty (that is good, if you dont eat only that) cheese alone on your plate. Cheese was excelent, but as a dish to serve, really?? Fried feta - again the same, just empty plate with the piece of feta. Should I eat so salty cheese without anything? bit of vegetable, bagette, whatever.
Meals (TOTAL FAILS) - imagine, your plate, ball of meat on the pan, old awful pomfrites from the microwave (and you cannot even ask to have a meal without them, I tried (facepalm). good pita, like 30 grams (why, is it so expansive? or is there a reason to tortue people by eating sahara?) of tzatziky (we ordered some extra, because whole meal combination was feeling totally DRY in the mouth, but they brought it like 30 minutes after we finished everything and wanted to pay. Meals had nothing else on it, Sahara feel really. And it was just not good, not tasty.
Wine (even more total fails then meals) - I asked for wine card, they dont have. Ok, what you have? You can order wine, red, rose or white, and dry or so. But we do not know what the wine is, there is nothing written on it. ??!!??!!?!? OK, I tried it anyway :), as only beer they have is in pilzner in the bottle. So f'king BAD wine. So inadequate. That was not about personal preference, that wine was objectively by all conventional meals so, so BAD. Like..... why????
GREEK food. Greek? I have been in the greece in many places on summer vacation more then anywhere else in the world, we do love greek culture, food, islands, etc. Here is almost nothing greek :). Well it is - it is kind of being similar to the "american" restaurants on the beach with many tourists, where pomfrites are main ingredience. But even that, on the beach, they know how to cook. But real greek authentic food is here almost completely missing.
Authentic Greek fast food with low food quality and no vegetables - perhaps, that could be the fair title.
I asked bartender, that I have no inner motivation to speal up, that I will only never again return to this place. But if he asks me to share my feedback, I will. He asked me and I gave him just 20 second brief one.... only wine and starters and he stopped me and said, you know, you are right, I am sad about that too. I dont know why it changed this way. Again what?? So they know and just continue with that. Crazy place, in 21th century. How that is even possible.
Recapitulation: I will never ever return again. Not cheap enough to balance the poor quality. Not even close. Not good enough even to be compared with any "hungry window" with arabic / asian fast foods around in the city. I don't know, how in this world full of information all around, you can possibly do so terrible job byt purpose. I dont think I have ever in my life so low and terrible wine in any restaurant generally. Authentic donky pee....
Go elsewhere or do...
Read moreI've been hesitating to visit this place for a long time, since we already have a favorite Greek restaurant in Brno. After finally visiting Cosmopolis I actually understood why the hesitation. We visited on a Sunday, there were just a few customers inside, all the staff (cooks, waiters) were loudly fighting (and cursing) about something around the restaurant, in front of the customers... that's the worst a restaurant can do. Food... It was 2 of us so to avoid thinking too much we just ordered a plate for 2 - were not impressed. It costs almost 400kc, it had plenty of gyros meat (chicken and pork), 2 souvlaki skewers, 3 thin slices of potato fries (3 damn fries Karl!), a tiny portion of tzatziki and maybe 4 slices of pita (that's 4 quarters of pita). For less money in Berlin we had an amazing combined plate with plenty of different mezes and sauces. Yes, the portion it was enough, but it was boring, it was just meat, no flavors, no sauces, no Greek freshness in it. All in all, save your money and go...
Read moreOrdered through Wolt, and it was honestly revolting. The food arrived cold, smelled off, and tasted even worse. The “gyros” looked like some cheap pre-cooked meat from a supermarket tray — nothing freshly grilled, nothing remotely Greek. The fries were soggy, greasy, and just sad. The only thing that seemed remotely fresh was the tzatziki, and that’s saying nothing.
This was supposed to be Greek food, but it felt more like a bad döner from a gas station, sold at restaurant prices. I’ve had fast food for a fraction of the cost that tasted ten times better.
We couldn’t even eat it — we threw it straight in the trash. I posted pictures so people can see how awful it really was. Absolutely disgusting. Avoid at all costs.
If I Could, I’d Give ZERO Stars...
