MR. POKE — Restaurant in okres Brno-město

A fast-food variation of Japanese cuisine. Even the interior gives an impression of fast-food place and it gave me mixed feelings regarding this place. The small chairs to sit are not very comfortable and the place itself isn't very big. The order must be places at the bar and then staff brings the meal to your table. The empty plates are then left at collecting racks for the trays. Regular fast-food things, but I had expected something more. What I liked about the place was flexibility of the staff. The most of the meals have rise as a side dish, the rest goes with noodles. I wanted to exchange rise with salad and it was not problem at all. I had modified bowl with salmon and I liked it a lot. It reminded me Hawaiian poke dish. My friend had sushi burrito, but for her it was an opposite. She told me that the taste is not good and that she ate it just because she was hungry. I might come back for a quick bite for reasonable price right in the city center, but I don't recommend the place if someone likes to really enjoy their meal. Possible to pay with a card, but no...

I just love it here. If you love sushi and never have enough, you need to try sushi burrito! Small bistro in the centre. Not very known so you get order quite fast. Good food choice. If not in mood for sushito, get sushi bowl or teriyaki (6 choices). Everything is really fresh. Bit more pricy, but for that quantity it is just fine. Staff is young and smiley, very helpful if you can't decide. Vegetarian options available and tasty just as anything else here. Sushito jsme navštívili s velkým očekáváním. Bistro bylo téměř prázdné, personál měl dostatek času na upravení pracovního prostoru i sebe, avšak obsluha měla špinavé zástěry, trika, pracovní stůl, ale to by se dalo pochopit.

Objednali jsme si trhané hovězí a krevety teriyaki (salát a jídlo, à 159,-). Zděšení přišlo už u pultíku, když slečna ihned před námi začala do talíře, na němž byly ještě zbytky předchozí objednávky, hrnout fazole v sladké omáčce z konzervy. Podobně tomu bylo s kukuřicí (Bonduelle) a jako třešnička na dortě pak byla kečupová mřížka po celé rýži a vůbec všem. Na jídle bylo dobré snad jen hovězí a ledový salát.

Krevety teriyaki pak byly celé v koriandrovém oparu (to je naše chyba, že jsme si jej dali, ovšem je obsažen alespoň v polovině jídelního lístku). Krevety samotné byly velmi unavené, rozblemclé z rozmrazení, ale pro Čechy asi dostačující. Omáčka teriyaki... Raději bych ji nepopisoval, ale takto nějak asi vypadá a možná i chutná dehet. Jediné, díky čemu jsme byli schopni jídlo alespoň z dobrého vychování dojíst, byly dvě chilli papričky, které po pozření dokonale přehlušily všechny ostatní (ne)chutě a ulevily tak unaveným pohárkům.

Sečteno podtrženo, díky za zážitek, alespoň si budeme víc vážit dobrého jídla :) ovšem horší jídlo za tolik peněz jinde v Brně asi...
