Hostel Mitte — Hotel in okres Brno-město

It's a two star hotel...? No! it's a hostel and not particularly cheap considering what they offer.

The website is great! The rooms look very intersting (on the pictures) The location is particularly convenient

The real life experience isn't going to match the standards set by the online image Im afraid . The rooms are decorated with old, no-functional, squeaky furniture. Very distracting if you're trying to have a SEX !! Doors are paper-thin and you will hear every step or word uttered by people passing by via the stairscase. NO BREAKFAST included or offered as a add-on, which leaves me puzzled reading all the, hopefully genuine, reviews complementing on fantastic brekfast... I specifically enquired aboit breakfast prior to arrival and was told by Ivana that breakfast is not provided and they offer customers the option to buy a voucher valid in near by bistro Soul.. (Snídaně nie je v cene, našim hosťom poskytujeme možnosť zakúpiť si voucher na snídani do Bistra Soul, vzdialeného približne 6 minút od Hostela.) Lot of noise from street even with windows closed. Not as bad as the noise from stairscase though... The best, or worst, at the end - PILLOWS ! ! ! If this review didn't put you off and you feel iresistible urge to stay in Mitte, then do yourself a favour and pack-in a little travel pillow because anything will be 1000 x better than what was neatly placed on top of the bed. And it will be too late to find out after 22:00, time when reception closes.

Ah, the reception... is a tiny room between 1st and 2nd floor of another building, not where you'll be staying. There is enough space for about 3 adults with only Ryanair cabin-size luggage. If your group is bigger than 2 you'll end up queueing on narrow dark stairscase. I did find asking guests about their ETA by the receptionist via e-mail quite organised, however I did not appreciate receiving a"followup" email, asking the same question again and being reminded of check-in deadline an hour before end of the ETA period I have provided in my earlier reply - well within...

I booked this place for 4 nights wanting to get away from the big city of Prague and meet some locals and backpackers. Unfortunately the whole four nights I stayed here I did not meet one backpacker properly. Atmosphere was non existent. There is no one working or a real place here that gets people together. Also there is no bar here at the hostel only a little coffee shop down stairs which is not set up for the hostel.Beware!!- The rooms Gödel(Single Room) or the above double Attic room have a major problem with sound proofing. The floor is paper thin and you can hear everything from either room. I could hear even a whisper clearly let alone them making love while everything is shaking. I could have paid half the price and stayed in a dorm. The response of the hostel is I should wear earplugs or book a hotel. Very disappointing. Better...

Very friendly reception, rooms are clean and very good locàtion for nightlife. only the pressure and water system from the shower we had in the top floor was really bad. they tried to tell us that it was because if more people use the water system at the same time... but I saw in her face it was not a new complaint. and I tried even 3.30 in the night to be sure of it. it was so little water that we could turn around the shower head and the water was just floating down from it. the water flushed sometime without any warning super hot sometimes cold. please owners do something about it. otherwise it was fine and...
