Ristorante Piazza — Restaurant in okres Brno-město

Just moments ago I experienced the worst service of my life as well as the most disrespect , I asked simply for tap water in addition to some cake for that is my right. I was brought what looked like bottled water. This, to reiterate was not what I wanted so to make sure I was understood again I asked is this tap water. The waiter responded “yes this is tap water” so you can imagine my horror when I was presented with a 120 czk bill for bottled water which I did not ask for. His first response was that yes he made a mistake but I still had to pay for it. I contested. He said he could not cancel it. This was a lie. He said the manager could not solve it as she can’t speak English so for that reason I still had to pay. I can’t imagine having to pay because of someone else’s fault. After the we had come to a reluctant (on his part) agreement to pay for the price of tap water his very very rude manager (who could suddenly speak English) said that there is a difference between bottled water and water from the toilet. This of course I know, needless to say. This was simply a passive aggressive attack upon me for standing up for my consumer rights. It is really a pity to have experienced this at what I considered a very nice restaurant and up until now I have been a regular. That of course...

We had a great experience at this place. Firstly, the interior design took us straight to Italy. We were welcomed with a warm smile at the entrance. The waiter, Lukáš, was extremely kind and made our evening even more special with his professionalism and sense of humour. :)

We ordered our meals: I had chicken with dried tomatoes, ricotta, zucchini, and mashed potatoes. It was very good, although the meat was a bit dry. My boyfriend had pork tenderloin and was beyond satisfied. They served croquettes stuffed with mushrooms as a side, which added an interesting touch to the meal. I have to admit, his meal was better than mine.

Lukáš recommended a delicious wine that complemented our meal perfectly. After our main courses, we enjoyed the best dessert. (It was hard for us to choose because they also offer all the cakes from their café, and they all look fantastic.) Finally, we picked chocolate fondant with homemade ice cream. I’m not kidding—it was heavenly good.

Overall, we were very satisfied and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice restaurant with reasonable prices....

If you're looking for a restaurant with a beautiful view, this is the place to be. However, don't expect a good experience. Some people say the waiter has an attitude, and where I come from, that’s just plain bad service.

There were eight of us, and despite at least ten free tables, the waiter told us that he could only give us two tables because there were no other free tables available. It was 12 PM.

We waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive. Yes, we were all there during business hours at lunchtime, but we didn’t have the whole day to spend. When it was time to pay, the waiter told us to go to the counter. We had no problem with that, but when we got there, no one was available to take our payment.

The rude waiter responsible for our table decided to serve other tables before collecting our payment, leaving us waiting an additional 20 minutes. Overall, it wasn’t worth it. The food was just okay, but nothing justifies such a long wait for...
