Yume Anime Bar — Restaurant in okres Brno-město

Interesting place with Japan-oriented assortment and fair prices. Both barmen are actually owners and me and my friend were waited by one of them. It was very easy to speak with that guy, he switched to English very easily because of my friend. He sit with us for a while at our table and we discussed the history of the bar, its offer, anime. I had cocktail named Hentai, as I wanted a specialty of the bar and also something more sour. I got drink with bubble gum syrup served in martini glass with lollipop instead of classical olive at the wooden toothpick. Beside the interesting taste and the serving, I was informed that the drink is served also with another thing - a hentai book. The waiter left it for us at our table and told us that we don't need to read it if we don't want to or if we are shy. He came after few minutes to check up on us if we want to keep the book at the table, or get rid of it. It was in Japanese so we couldn't read it, but that's not needed with this kind of book. What I mind a little is that decoration at the place is oriented more for guys than for girls. All the pictures have girls as the primary motive. But the waiter assured us that more anime guy pictures are coming! To sum it up, this was surprisingly interesting experience and I recommend all to try...

Really nice establishment I tend to come back to quite often. Drinks are great and fairly priced, there are some non-alcoholic options too. No food options, I would welcome some sandwiches or other finger food, altho it might be Yume does not have the capacity to prepare them. The walls (and everything) are very anime/manga-themed, and it's fun spotting your favorite characters :)

On bigger tables there is always a 'reservation' sign. It seems that the idea is these spots are reserved for bigger groups and you need to communicate with a waiter to get seated there, which makes sense on paper, but it actually took us few visits to understand this process. I suspect some groups turned away because they thought there is no place, before they knew how this works :) Maybe a 'wait till you get seated' sign would...

Sugoi! ° In all seriousness, the bar staff here were very friendly and the drinks were really tasty. The reading materials provided with certain drinks probably can't be posted on Google Reviews, but it adds some extra fun. There are themed cocktails and more traditional choices of drink here too. I really liked the rainbow staircase on the way in, too. The decor is a bit all over the place - anything and everything anime - but no anime music was on! That would have been a fun...
