Ooh Mexicano — Restaurant in okres Liberec

We love Mexican food, but we were extremely disappointed with this place. The service was quite friendly but that’s the only good thing I can say about this restaurant. We ordered “Sopa de Lima” and “Sopa de Hongos”. It looked much different than what we could see on the menu pictures, had very few ingredients and was tasteless, basically just water inside. Then we ordered “Tacos de Pastor” which were one of the worst tacos we ever had, very greasy, way too salty and didn’t have any flavor to cover or reduce these the excess of flavors. The Margarita drink was fine. I wouldn’t trust such a high rating of this place, very suspicious, nothing to do with real Mexican tacos or soups. Very overpriced, especially for the poor quality...

Honestly, there were a lot of flaws in our dishes. The one that really got me to right a review and give it three stars is the nachos. I paid 100+ CZK to get a few chips and a cheese sauce on top; also we did ask for jalapeños many times on the phone, guess what? It didn’t have jalapeños. That is not something acceptable in my opinion. Their dishes in general are not wealthy in flavors. We had the chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, nachos, and a vegetarian dish: all had flaws and I can’t see any effort in creativity. I had very high hopes given the reviews but it failed me. Given the Mexican food experiences we had traveling, I would not consider going...

I came to liberec a second time and visited ooh Mexicano again. And again it was a delight to eat here! Ok, at first thought you don't go to Czech republic and eat Mexican..... but this is one of the best places to eat Mexican in Europe... I would go here regularly if they would have a branch in Berlin... highly recommend. Superb food in quality and presentation, lovely interior and very sympathetic and attentive service.
