BE AWARE OF THIEVES IN THIS VENUE! During our lunch a woman came to our table with a large piece of paper in her hand. At first we believed she was maybe deaf as she spoke very poorly and that she is asking for money with info on the paper. WATCH OUT! She will put the piece of paper over your phone or wallet which you put on the table and try to steal it from underneath! Thankfully we noticed this trick in time. She was so intrusive we had to push her away from the table and when we called out to the waiter for help we were told “I am not there to watch your stuff!” We were in such a shock, the staff absolutely didn’t care there is a person inside their venue trying to steal things from their paying guests! While we were trying to get help from the staff the woman ran away form the venue and later the waiter went outside to look if she is still there however she was long gone. For the rest of the lunch the staff apologised and kept on insisting they didn’t see anyone. As if the woman was invisible to anyone who she didn’t want to steal from. SHE WAS THERE! RIGHT BESIDE OUR TABLE! I would also add during this incident there we only 2 other tables occupied with guests, the place was not busy. Due to the reaction of the staff I wouldn’t be surprised if the staff had some kind of the deal with the local gypsies to come over to their venue to steal from their guests. Since a majority of guests are tourist the staff couldn’t care less if you ever come back or not. What a horrible experience and even worse reaction from staff. The food is dull, it doesn’t excite your tastebuds in any way, the chef is probably cooking the same menu for the last 5 years so why bother. You’re stomach will be full but that’s about it.

As we were walking from the back of Prague Castle toward Petrin Park, we stumbled upon a charming bar and restaurant that turned out to be a hidden gem. From the road, it appeared quite modest and unassuming, but as we passed by, I happened to glance through the door and caught a glimpse of the terrace and its inviting atmosphere. I'm so glad we decided to check it out. We only stopped in for a couple of beers, but it was a perfect little break. My wife enjoyed a refreshing Pilsner, while I was pleasantly surprised to find that they stocked gluten-free beer, which was awesome. It’s rare to come across gluten-free options in many places, so this was a great find for me. The terrace had a wonderful view, making it an ideal spot to relax and take in the scenery. While we didn’t order any food, the dishes being served around us looked delicious and were accompanied by some tantalizing aromas. Judging by the satisfied expressions of the other diners, I’d say the food was likely just as good as it seemed. The staff also added to the experience—they were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. All in all, it was a delightful discovery and a great spot to unwind during our walk.

Cash only place, poor service to visitors. DO NOT pay by euro since they will charge you extremely ridiculous exchange rate!! (22 in the restaurant while 24.5 in train station and many exchange store and 25.7 in bank transfer) As you can see from the bill, potato which normally regards as a free sides for main dishes is not free here. The pork is so big and hard as well as dry to eat. What is worse, you can even find a lot of pig’s hair on the surface. Not to mention the men’s toilet is broken and let us use women’s toilet which is so embarrassing. How dare they charge us 15.2% service charge with their rubbish beer and self-service black tea with cold water! Blacklisted!!! Not recommended at all!!

I DONT recommend to go there if you dont want to be overcharged without knowing about this as they dont give bills! The pleace is nice, full of old photos from some historical meetings, very cosy with a lovely view to Petrin. The waiter was helpful, kind and we were very happy having dinner on our last day in Prague until we have received the "bill". Yes, the "bill" as it was a piece of paper with hand written (hard to read what was really written on this paper). I asked for a proper bill and was said they have no cash register so no bill can be printed. I was shocked. I asked to confirm what exactly was counted on the paper as some prices were incorrect and the lady told me she doesnt know as she didnt serve me. I said ok this is why I wish to see the propeer bill. She took calculator and started to count as per what we have had and as per menu prices. We were overcharged 180 CZk. I have received a cash back with no single word of apologies, nothing. I sincerley DO NOT recommend the place as they cheat on tourists and take all your money to their pocket without paing any tax as this is why they dont use cash register. I travel a lot and such experience happend to me for the very and hope...
