An area full of lovely Bars and Pubs, Dear Watson is a lovely new addition to Karlin full of charming Sherlock Holmes details and atmosphere. Staff were pleasant, but the experience didn’t quite live up to the setting.
The breakfast menu is very limited and not particularly appetising. The English breakfast was ok, looked unappetising compared to others, and unfortunately the coffee was disappointing. It took over 30 minutes for food to arrive, (not busy many empty tables) and not everyone’s meal came together.
Prices are the higher range for the area. The place certainly has potential once the kitchen and service find their rhythm.
⭐ Beautifully decorated pub. 🇬🇧 English menu available on the QR code. 🍳 Breakfast is very limited and needs improving. ☕ Capuccino and flat white was disappointing, very bitter. 🍟 Chips and fries were very good. 🐶 Hounds are welcome 💳 Cash of card accepted 🍺 Guinness and local beers available 🚇 Short walk...
Read moreMy wife and I were on holiday in Prague from England when we stumbled across Dear Watson. We were very impressed by our first impressions of the bar with welcoming staff and a good atmosphere inside. We had food and local beers on our opening visit and we ended up returning for more on each of the four nights that we stayed in Prague. The pizza in particular was outstanding as was the local Mustang ale on tap. It was also nice to see Kilkenny beer and Guinness from Ireland on sale as an alternative to the local lager. Sajra was the member of staff that we were served by on most occasions and she was so friendly and keen to make sure that we had a great experience at the bar. When you are made to feel so welcome there is no reason to go anywhere else! We really enjoyed our time as regulars at Dear Watson and would highly recommend it to...
Read moreAmazing atmosphere, bringing you to 20th century England. The staff were kind, energetic and just awesome - honestly the highlight of our visit. Beer was great too. However, very disappointed by the food, both the quality (felt very industrial and cheap) and the cooking. We got the burger and the ribs - burger had a weird odor that we couldn’t tell what it is but gave the benefit of the doubt and the ribs were as if we got them from the supermarket ready foods. For future reference, not great optics (from a hygiene perspective) seeing cooking staff going in and out of the kitchen, playing with their phones and chatting at the bar. All in all a pleasant experience, great pricing and I’m sure the food can be fixed for better ;) will be visiting...
