KYOTO wok & sushi — Restaurant in Prague

First time at this restaurant and, unfortunately, I was slightly disappointed. However, I don’t believe in writing a place off after just one bad experience. I’d actually like to return and give it another shot.

Sushi was very underwhelming and felt like low quality. Pho and soup were okay — nothing special, but decent.

Service definitely needs improvement. Despite sitting very close to the staff, they were not attentive. My drink order was forgotten entirely, only remembered when we were about to leave — they were already closing at that point. Waitress came with a glass of wine and offered it to me… to basically chug on my way out? No thanks. Since we had already paid, I offered to just get a cash refund for the drink. Instead, she refused and told us to pick any drink from the fridge. That’s not a professional solution — why should I be calculating what is “equal” to a glass of wine? Either I end up picking something cheaper or more expensive — both...

We would love to give this restaurant 5 stars because the food is very good and the service is fine. But twice have they given us sushi with eel instead of prawns, and we don't fancy sushi with eel. The first time we ate in the restaurant so they could correct the mistake and give us the right sushi. But today we ordered takeaway and was very disappointed in the airport when we found that they have given us eel again. We don't know what is going on but perhaps there is a problem with their English menu card? Anyway, because of this happening twice we cannot give more...

Lovely sushi - I order the sushi in the picture plus a lemonade =340 czk

Salmon is fresh and makes u feel fulfilling. Restaurant decoration quite modern with many Japanese / Asian picture around. Waiter can speak good English :)

One of my sushi places to go in prague from now on.
