Meatery — Restaurant in Prague

After saturday walk with family outside, we decided to visit a steakhouse. It was not a long dispute and Orionka is the place we've chosen. After entering, the place felt quite small, but still pretty comfy and welcoming for 3 people, the seats were nice and soft which is very important. Toilets were nice. For drinking we ordered beer and kofola, good selection of drinks, all chilled properly. Then we ordered goat cheese toasts with cranberries and salad and the "meaty" tasting plate. The food, the food was great, goat cheese was soft and amazing when it comes to taste, it was toasted to perfection and felt like really being a part of the toast. I have never eaten better goat cheese anywhere else. Now to the meat, the meat... oh lord... the meat, perfect, absolutely perfect, it was done very well and according to our wishes, medium. Every piece was tender, felt different and was simply perfect, there are just no other words, sometimes we were dropping jaws. We also got mushroom, pepper sauces and potatoes along with it. The sauces were fitting like an apple to a pie, we liked the mushroom one best, potatoes were amazing aswell with cream and herbs added on top. The waiter was friendly, fast and looked like a fine dude.

Overall I am amazed just by how the meat was done and how the sauces were so very well fitting. In fact, everything felt so awesome and tasty, should it be the meat or the goat cheese. The prices were completely fine, it was worth it. I am definitely coming again some day, best experience I've...

We sat on the terrace and it looked like it might rain, they warned us there is no place inside. Fair enough, this is not their fault. I asked the staff what happens if it does rain to which they were clueless. Weird to not offer any kind of solution, but ok. We ordered our food, and sure enough as our drinks got served it started raining. We waited for it to stop, and as it wasn't, I asked if it was possible to cancel our order. As the meat was almost done, they said it wasn't, and we could either eat it in the rain or take it to go. I asked if it was possible to wait for 10 minutes to serve it until we see what happens with the rain, they said no, they either need to pack it right now or serve it. We chose to take it to go and they wrapped it in foil so it would retain warmth and juciness, which they could have also done there on the spot until it would stop raining. There was also a family of four that was served literally seconds before it started raining, and when they saw it wasn't stopping, they asked for help, the staff was completely clueless and didn't show any support. Same as in our case, the staff showed complete cluelessness and lack of basic humam empathy, they weren't applogetic, they didn't offer any kind of complimentary gesture, solution or anything. Which shows me they really don't care if we come back or not. And we won't. The food was tasty though, even packed to go, so I need to give them a star at...

I will comment a little on my experience. After spending a long time in Prague I have to leave, so I decided to visit my favorite restaurants before leaving. This is one of them. I love the food. But the staff lacks a lot of education. Today when I arrive I ask for a table for me, they tell me there is no table and while I was telling him I could wait, he turned around and left me talking to myself, I can think he didn't listen to me.... In view of that I stay there because I didn't want to leave Prague without passing by one of my favorite restaurants. Then another of the staff told me that there was no table, and I told her that I could wait (because of the above mentioned) to which her answer was no. But why not? In the end it is my time and I wanted to wait. When I insisted she allowed me to stay. And he told me you must wait 50 minutes, sincerely I had no problem to wait and I accepted. 5 minutes later two tables were vacated. The staff may not know how long it will take for the table to be vacated, of course. But to tell a person not to wait when it is your wish?. The problem is not the food, it's the staff. I would love the next time I go back to Prague, that the service has improved. Honestly today I felt very bad about...
