FLEUR DE LIS HOTEL — Hotel in Prague

I would totally be back here!

If you like to be quite central but in an area frequented mostly by locals, then look no further! The hotel is also not far from the main railway station both on foot and by transport. Well connected to the rest of town by both metro and trams.

The only thing I would fault is the breakfast. It wasn't bad, but it was very international/plain style (some croissants and donuts for the continental breakfast and some hot buffet with eggs, veg and sausages). I had been travelling around Czechia before coming here and would have loved to find more local food represented; there is so much good bakery stuff in Czechia and it is a pity that tourists would not get to experience that (some zavin, kolace etc?). Also the coffee was quite weak, didn't wake me up at all (but some people may like it).

All in all, I would still be back for the very decent hotel...

Nice comfortable hotel. My room was very clean, everything worked, and the shower was beautifully hot. The hotel is conveniently located about 4 blocks from the subway and bus lines. The hotel is well appointed. Breakfast was wonderful. There are many choices to suit any palate (the scrambled eggs and the oatmeal were my favorite). One day, my group had to leave early (pre-breakfast time) to catch a bus to Karlovy Vary. The hotel kindly made us breakfast bags to take with us with a small muffin, yogurt, a sandwich and some cheese. All of my contacts with the staff were very positive. Everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful, particularly the young man working the reception desk at night. He arranged a taxi ride for me to the airport at 3 AM. Sadly unreliable. Got a really good price at booking, but then got cancelled less than a week before the trip - with their side claiming credit card issues. That meant we had to book a new hotel last minute, which ended up being very expensive for us. The same credit card had absolutely no issues at the next hotel. Tried to contact Fleur de Lis hotel after the cancellation, but got no reply whatsoever. Booking dot com later informed me that the hotel was overbooked. And no, booking dot com had no problem with my credit card, since they accepted it for the next booking...
