Peter's Burger Pub — Restaurant in Prague

Simply disappointed ☹️ I am a lover of duck dishes and when I saw they had in the menu a duck dish I didn’t doubt it and I ordered it. Turned out to be a bad idea (for the first time). Just when the dish arrived I noticed right away that the meat was not well cooked (duck meat is not like beef where you have medium rare, well cooked etc) duck meat has to be well cooked (tender). Anyway, I decided to try it to confirm my guess and I was right. The meat was not well cooked and the taste was just bad to say the least. The only flavour I could feel was the smoky one. That is only about the duck. The rest of the ingredients were also tasteless and I had to use salt and pepper to give them some taste but I could not have a second bite so I asked kindly to the waiter to take the dish back and ask the chef to cook more the duck meat. The result was of course not the best but I ate it anyway because I was starving and I paid over 300 crowns + I am against food wasting. Btw, in Czech one of the typical dishes contains duck and it is delicious. First picture shows the Czech dish and the second one the dish at a his restaurant. Sorry for my blunt comment but I think is necessary because in my 5 years living in Czech I have never been that dissatisfied with a dish. I have some experience cooking so I am not just commenting out of inexperience. I hope this place improve. And finally, my husband had a burger and also was not the best, how you can ruin sweet...

I've heard about this place a lot of good information. Yesterday, me and my friends reserved a table in the evening and girl on the phone was very pleasant. So we had a very good mood. When we came ,our waiter DANIEL immediately came and start to serve. At first he was trying to speak to us Russian even though we all speaks czech. Than we start conversation in czech and everything was good except the fact that guy obviously speaks Russian, put pretended that he is not. Nevermind. I dont now what happened to this guy before ,but all of us realised that he was kind a drunk or high. Because he could explain us anything. When we did our orders everything pretended to be ok. But when we got them, the guy just brought us 1 extra portion of fries and instead of sweet fries a normal one. Then we tried to ask him to explain if the side dish comes for extra charge or not, so two times we've got two different answers. Finally we asked him to tell us how much is our bill and what we had already on our bill, we didnt plan to go, but just see what is what. Our friend DANIEL just brought us a bill. So weve just pay the bill and left the place .before to leave, I recommend to DANIEL not to serve like this the costumers and got answer that is not my business. If it were possible, I would give 6 stars. Me and my friends from the Czech language school ordered a table for 6 people to celebrate the end of the course A1 😁. When we arrived, the restaurant was full because of some concert nearby, but our table was waiting for us on the upper floor. The staff was extremely friendly. We were immediately offered drinks and served quickly despite the huge number of people near the bar. Due to the ordered steaks, we had to wait a little longer, but we did not notice how the 20 minutes of waiting went by because of the taste starters and excellent cocktails (special thanks to the barkeeper). The steaks, sweet potato fries and burgers were fantastic. This is the best food in a while. What surprised me was sweet potato fries - it's brilliantly simple and incredibly tasty! I love it. The staff also deserves special thanks - despite the number of people who filled the place near the bar (due to the concert), they managed to bring everything very quickly and always with pleasant smiles. They was very friendly. The evening was wonderful. I'm glad we chose this place to celebrated our hard work😜. We will definitely come back here to celebrate the end of the course. Díky vám za hezký...
