Turnovská pivnice Churchill — Restaurant in Prague

I came here for the atmosphere and service, I stayed for the beer and the view, and left for the food😔. You really do not deep fry chicken wings. They need another way of preparing this. My good got pretty oily, crunchy on the outside, and pretty raw on the inside 😕, but they were very helpful to put it back into the oven to bake. Well I’m not the pro here, but that kinda killed it for me.

Also the menu(also on the web) is pretty much in the Czech language, even if the place is located quite central, around some big offices, and I believe many tourists.

The service is was top. So that...

Delicious food, apart from two dishes. The Svíčková, and Gouláš. If you’re looking to try these two authentic Czech dishes, this is not the place to go. But otherwise, everything else is delicious. I would especially recommend their burger which I split in half with a friend due to its large size. Their dip was spicy and tasteful and overall, I enjoyed it. Even the view of the train station was interesting as we sat outside. They are also a pet friendly restaurant and even offered my dog water...

Byli jsme zde 2x, pvni navsteva nic moc druha jeste horsi .....

Obsluha je zmatena jak beruska v zime a ma pamet akvarijni rybicky - nejdrive vam prinese hlavni jidlo a pak se divi, ze jste si objednali starter, prestoze si vse napise do sveho bonzbloku. Kdyz se konecne dockate starteru a dojite jej, hlavni jidlo vam prinesou jiz skoro studene a nebo musite opet pockat dalsich 30 minut, protoze ho mezitim odnesli nekomu jinemu :)

O rychlosti obsluhy take nemuze byt v zadnem pripade rec - na kazde pivo /piti clovek musi cekat i pri poloprazdne restauraci - jelikoz obsluha preferuje povidat si s presonalem kuchyne misto obsluhovani :) Zde bych chtel podekovat panu majiteli, ktery z vlastni iniciativy obsluhu velmi hlasite a energicky pobizel zpet do prace(pred hosty), jinak bychom byli non-stop na suchu :)

Kdyz mate stesti, usadi se vam pod stolem velmi chlupaty a nehezky pes, ktery loudi jidlo - patri nekomu z restaurace, takze ho ven nedostanete ...ve 4. cenove problem se psem nemam, ale do takoveto restaurace nepatri(muj osobni nazor, ktery nikomu necpu)

Prestoze je otevreno do 22 hod, od pul 9 jiz kuchyne nefunguje ani na dezert ci kafe. Posledni objednavka kolem 9 hodiny a nez ji prinesou je skoro pul 10. Ve 3/4 na deset jsou uz vsechny zidle nahore a divaji se na vas, ze je obtezujete tim, ze stale nemate dopito......ufff

Aspon, ze ta tankova Plzen nebyla spatna, ale jak rika hravran od Alan Poe: Nevermore....dobrou Plzen maji i jinde a s lepsi...
