Sekiryu — Restaurant in Aalborg Municipality

Hands down the best place I’ve visited across the whole Europe. The experience of Japanese BBQ is a must itself, but this place massively stands out.

We really enjoyed their app. It felt like what every restaurant doesn’t have and must somehow have. You order by creating a ticket for your table, and your order is being served pretty fast.

The waiters do their best and what don’t do what every other place does. In every place you get approached every 5-10 min and get asked awkward questions about the food and the place. Here they explain how their app and ordering works, explain how the table works, and leave you to actually enjoy the place. So the app is definitely a super progressive tech here, and after experiencing it, I will miss it (because absolutely everyone should have it).

The food is delicious. I now understand why Choji from Naruto is so obsessed with meat bbq. Words can’t describe how good it is.

And last but not least, the cocktails. We’ve been to so many fancy places that specialise on cocktails. But this place served the best cocktails of them all. They are so perfectly balanced, you wish you could drink them forever (too bad humans have limits on how much they can consume, otherwise I’d spend hours here).

If you’re ever in Aalborg, this place is a MUST visit. Make sure to book a table, or you’ll end up like us hoping there is a free spot.

This was my first experience at a Japanese BBQ restaurant - and it was absolutely amazing! Now I understand why it’s so hard to get a table without a reservation: every moment was top-notch.

The food was incredible - everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. But what truly stood out were the cocktails - without exaggeration, the best I’ve ever had in my life! 🍸

I also really appreciated the phone-based ordering system. It was intuitive, fast, and eliminated unnecessary waiting. I honestly wish all restaurants used a system like this - it made the whole experience even better.

Thank you for the atmosphere, the quality, and the outstanding service. You’ve set the bar very high for all future places...

The experience of japanese/korean barbwque was completely foreign to us, we'd never tried it for. We were just 2 people, and we both thought it was lovely. I couldn't help but think the classic "I could've done this at home", but I do have to say, their beef was exquisite, and I do think I would've rated it higher if I was with a company of multiple people as the experience looked more catered towards that. Overall lovely experience with good food. I would've given it a bit og a higher rating if it was more affordable, but the pricing is probably justifiable for the right type...
