The greatest restaurant in all of Copenhagen—because it’s proudly, gloriously Icelandic. 🇮🇸
Guðruns Goodies isn’t just a café—it’s a stronghold of resistance, quietly holding the line in the heart of its former occupiers. And thank the gods for it.
The Icelandic owner was a joy to chat with—warm, witty, and radiating that unique Reykjavik charm. The breakfast was absolutely on point, and the hot dogs? Hands down the best in town. No overflowing toppings, no structural chaos—just beautifully balanced pylsur like they were meant to be. (Take notes, Denmark.)
The kokomjólk was a nostalgic delight, and we even picked up some gorgeous Icelandic art on the way out. Sharing that meal with close friends made it all the better—comfort food with a sense of homeland pride.
Highly, highly recommended. Long live the Icelandic outpost...

A small tip from my side is to leave the glass with berries in it and the pancakes for last, as those are more of a sweet treat. All in all I reccommend this to everyone wanting to go eat a nice breakfast with an...
Read moreCozy atmosphere, friendly hostess who is Icelandic, and food that is delicious and perfectly satisfying. We got the all day breakfast, meat soup, and Icelandic crepe and loved everything! When we asked about the Icelandic bread, she said it’s sweet but just the perfect amount of sweet - spot on description, it was perfect. Also love the music 😊
UPDATE: after having visited Iceland and tried the lamb soup every opportunity I had, I have to say Gudrun’s lamb soup was THE BEST. Can’t wait to come back to Copenhagen to have some authentic Icelandic food made by the sweetest...
