Friendly service but our meal did not meet high expectations.

Amazed by the high scores of others, we decided we had to try this burger place out. We went for the classic ox (pulled beef) and a cheese/bacon burger with fries.

Very friendly young lads working Saturday lunchtime when we popped in. Lunch deal also applies on Saturdays - nice!

Burgers did not live up to our expectations; Ox was not at all as juicy as I would have expected, though the bun and the cole slaw/cabbage type filling are nice texture wise and different from what you normally get. Taste was good, but nothing extraordinary. The special sauce mentioned did not stand out. Cheese/Bacon was overly seasoned with mustard and patty did not stand out - nor positively or negatively. Nice that vegan/vegetarian options available, though no idea what they are like.

Fries were similar to classic “Sibylla” fries - crispy, overly salted, heavily deep fried mass produced fries and seasoned with grill/barbecue powder. Too salty for our taste.

Service was friendly and correct, waiting time about 10 min with only one couple before us.

Warning: the burger paper does not contain the fatty liquid for long. The nice couple before us averted us just before our trousers would have been soiled. I would reco to change the paper (maybe bad glue in the joint) or at least inform about this.

It would have been nice to have less packaging waste when eating in - though I understand space is scarce to accommodate a dishwasher and proper plates.

Bottom line: not worth the price or a detour - at least for...

Dropped by to try out the “highest rating burger” in Copenhagen. We ordered 2 small burgers in which 1 was a combo meal and the other was ala carte. Honestly, the taste of the burger weren’t worth all that hype, it was extremely salty. Furthermore, the service was terrible. Owner/cashier was very rude and sarcastic which ruined our experience. As tourists, we were excited to try out the burger and took some photos of the menu and the shop whereby the man made a remark saying how he changes his menu/price of it every one or two days so we shouldn’t take pictures of the menu. However, isn’t Kristinedal burgers famous for its oxburger😂? Next, we came as a group of 4, and we came after eating lunch as we were around the area and really wanted to try the burgers, hence we ordered 2 small ones to try. He questioned us twice sarcastically if that was all. Following, there were 2 other customers that came in after us, and they ordered a combo meal in which he told them to help themselves to get the drinks to the combo meal below the counter. He didn’t tell us that so after when we got our burgers, I just asked out of courtesy before getting the drinks and was told of by the rude man. He was saying how he was telling the other customers to get the drinks and we just stood there staring. Firstly, I do not understand nor speak Danish. Despite understanding, I asked the double confirm and most importantly was out of courtesy.

Overall the restaurant isn’t worth all these good reviews based on...

Without a doubt the best burger in town… and dare I say the best in Denmark! An absolute treat in every bite!

Location & Ambience: (5/5) The location is great, not on one of the main streets so it isn’t too loud or crowded outside. It is within walking distance from the central station and the pedestrian zone. The ambience itself is great. Yes, it is a small store, but there are high tables inside to seat a couple people and some seating outside. The walls have the history as well as some nice tools from their history like the massive pick fork to turn the briskets.

Food & Drink: (5/5) I would give it a 6 on 5 for how good it was. I had the Ox burger which is a pulled meat burger. The filling was absolutely lovely with the house chilli in it. The textures, flavours and juiciness was all spot on. The size of the burgers are also great as it was super filling. Coupled with that had the fried which was generously coated with a bit of spice and salt were mouth watering. Loved the flavours and the dips just made it a dream to eat. Getting the meal option gives you a choice of drink.

Service: (5/5) Johan and Jonathan were fantastic. Enjoyed listening to all the history about the place as I enjoyed the meal and also got to learn a lot more about Danish culture and a little more about Copenhagen. Very warm and friendly.

Summary: (5/5) Need your fill of an incredible burger? Then look no further, this is by far the best place in town. You will absolutely love it! Head...
