A chain bakery with decent offerings. If you’re coming for breakfast and fancy something sweet, you’re spoilt for choice. There are savoury options, but they’re sandwiches more suited for lunch, unless you like a bigger breakfast. We came here twice and got a chocolate cinnamon swirly pastry (snail?), a chocolate muffin and a pain au chocolat. The chocolate snail was very sweet and decadent. It was my favourite, but you certainly have to eat it in moderation. It would’ve been nice to have savoury options for breakfast, but overall, the sweet pastries we got were decent.

There are multiple payment points along the counter to increase efficiency rather than having everyone queuing up at one cashier.

Counter seating has hooks under the table for your bag, which is convenient and much...

I arrived at Lagkagehuset early in the morning — jet-lagged and in need of a good coffee — and it turned out to be the perfect place to start the day. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, with that cozy Scandinavian charm that instantly makes you feel at ease. The coffee was amazing, rich and perfectly balanced, just what I needed after a long flight. Their pastries looked and tasted incredible, fresh from the oven with the kind of quality you expect in Denmark. The staff were friendly and efficient, and even early in the morning, the place had a warm, inviting energy. It’s easy to see why Lagkagehuset is such a local favorite — great coffee, delicious pastries, and a peaceful vibe that makes even an early, jet-lagged morning in Copenhagen...

Great cafe to start the morning. Their coffee isn't the best, and the quality seems to depend on how busy they are.. But even on bad days it's good enough. Still, their pastries and sandwiches are extremely tasty, and slightly cheaper than some other cafes that we've visited. You can expect to spend about 10-15e per person if you plan on getting something salty, something sweet and a coffee. I recommend the mini pizza margherita and the cinnamon/chocolate rolls, but really you'll be fine with whatever you go with.

This particular cafe has a nice view on the street, buildings and canal outside, which is definitely a bonus. There is no toilette, but this seems to be relatively common in Copenhagen, so I don't think it's...
