Argentinian here, so expectations were high. We started with the beef empanadas, those were excellent, 10/10. Provoleta was also quite good, I'd say an 8.5/10 just because to me it was missing the smoked taste when cooked with wood. We ordered a parrilla as main. The big dissapointment was the chorizo, it had nothing to do with the taste of an argentinian chorizo, but way too close to the danish medister which tends to be quite plain; I wouldn't recommend it at all; any sicilian sausage from Coop is closer (1/10). I didn't have the sweetbreads but they told me they were excellent. The tenderloin and rib-eye were of great quality (10/10) and well prepared to the point we asked for. Something that I believe will make a much better experience when ordering parrilla is to either bring a "brasero" to keep the meat warm or bring the pieces one at a time. It's really a shame to bring this big portion all together as there is no way of eating half the plate already cold.
As for the service, the waiters were very welcoming and kind when ordering or delivering the food but it felt different from other restaurants where we would have been asked how our food was or ask if we'd like more water once is finished. Maybe this restaurant is aiming for an experience with fewer interruptions.
Prices are very high and we wouldn't return or order parrilla again with the current setup. Hope it's...
Read moreHeavenly meat and wonderful service. Also has a lot of the typical Argentine dishes that taste just as in Argentina. I've lived in Argentina for 7 years. The best Argentine restaurant I've visited in Europe. I've visited a lot of them in Sweden and Spain. The meat tastes as real Argentine meat should, much tastier than any other meat in the world. They have real empanadas, real chorizos, chimichurri, and dulce de leche. They also have another of my absolute favorites, mojellas. Unfortunately you only get two pieces for quite a high price.
My favorite is of course the beef meat, mainly Bife de chorizo but unfortunately they don't have that, but they do have Churrasco which in a very minor difference. Their Churrasco is heavenly and it's grilled to perfection.
A lot of Argentine wines and Argentine tango music softly playing in the background. It's a very popular restaurant and at top hour it might be full.
The staff is the nicest possible, always happy and so friendly, and if you are talkative they will chat with you about anything. If you wan't to be left alone you don't have to worry, they don't come on to you, they leave you alone. They are very professional...
Read moreThe food was of high quality and delicious, but my steak (400gr medium rare rib-eye) was closer to a rare than a medium rare. As long as is undercooked rather than overcooked I don’t mind much so I enjoyed it regardless, although you would expect higher attention to details regarding the temperature on a place who’s specialty is stakes. The huge disappointment came on the service side though, during the time we sat until the time we left nobody dared to ask “how is everything, how’s the food” or any sort checking in or care that we enjoyed the food or our time. The only questioned was “may we take your plates” but no other approach to the table by any of the waiters but to bring our food and the bill, we would have taken a dessert but nobody asked or offered. It might be danish standards of service (as we are tourists) but when you spend 150 euro for 2 people you would expect some minimal amount of service besides just “order takers and food runners”. The owner should save the waiter wage and use machines for orders and have 1 food runner and 1 drink runner to run the food and wine. Wouldn’t make a difference service-wise to the...
